Sen. Mike Lee Blocks SAVE America Act via Reconciliation
Sen. Mike Lee tells Leader John Thune and colleagues that the SAVE America Act cannot pass through budget reconciliation, which only requires 50 votes. Lee explains it’s a policy bill, not budgetary, and even attaching funding won’t meet reconciliation standards. He warns lawmakers not to be misled into thinking reconciliation can fast-track the legislation.
