Seminar: Algorithms for numbering substitutions
🫂 We invite math and cryptography fans to the first event from the friendly ITMO Cryptographic Readings community in the IT Space!
🎓 What will it be about?
Substitution is a fundamental mathematical object important for quantum-stable cryptographic schemes. It is also widely used in other fields of cryptography and computer science. Numbering substitutions helps to optimize their storage and can serve as the basis for generation algorithms
✍🏻 At the seminar we will explore:
▪️ Basic concepts: bijection, substitution, numbering and others
▪️ Various numbering algorithms - from historical to the most modern and relevant
▪️ Comparison of algorithms by computational complexity and security aspects
🎙 Speaker: Ivan Nitkin, PhD student at the ITMO SIT Faculty
❓ How, where, and when?
🗓 Thursday, December 11, 17:10-21:00
📍 Hybrid, Pesochnaya Embankment, 14, room 306 + zoom
