Salma Hayek stuns on the cover of Allure 's August 2015 issue, showing off her famous curves in the accompanying photoshoot, which has the Frida actress going topless.
Salma, who's been happily married to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault since February 2009, admits to the magazine that she wasn't always this lucky in love -- in fact, she says she was "desperate" at one point.
"I wish I knew [when I was younger] that I was going to fall crazy in love with the perfect man," she reflects. "I was so worried, and I dated some people I shouldn't have dated. You get desperate, and you start seeing wonderful things in, like, the wrong guys. I also found some pretty good guys."
The stunning Mexican actress dated Edward Norton for four years, before splitting in 2003, and was also in a relationship with Sweet Home Alabama star Josh Lucas for almost a year, after splitting from Norton.
"But I wish I could say to myself, 'Hey, chill out. You're going to get a great husband that's going to adore you,'" she stresses. "I would have saved myself a lot of personal drama."
Salma and Francois have one daughter together -- Valentina, who was born in 2007 -- and she admits that she once considered being a stay-at-home mom. However, it was actually her husband that pushed her to keep working, although he certainly makes plenty of enough money to support them.
"I said, 'I don't think I want to work anymore.' And it was François who said, 'Oh, no, you're going back to work,'" she surprisingly shares. "And I said, 'I don't want to.' 'Well, you have to [he said]. We're not putting up with some lazy girl in the house. That's not who I married. I don't want to be deprived of your work. I want to watch it, too. And the world has not seen the best of you yet. So you cannot stop until some of that is put out.'"
Salma also maintains that she's at least partially financially independent from her wealthy husband.
"I have a system in my life that I've chosen, where my expenses from before the marriage are my expenses," she says. "And he goes, 'I know. That's why I want to marry you.' Maybe that's also part of what works great in my marriage. I still have my independence. But he likes it.... And I get a lot of respect from him."

Salma Hayek Said This Was the Hardest Sex Scene She Ever Had to Film
Banderas and Rodriguez did their best to lighten the mood on set.

Salma Hayek has been a sought-after leading lady—and frequent romantic lead —in movies and TV shows alike for the better part of three decades. However, the actor recently revealed that not all of her on-screen romances have been easy. During a recent interview with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, Hayek said that one particular sex scene was so difficult for her to film that she could barely get through it.
Hayek explained that her sex scene with co-star Antonio Banderas in 1995's Desperado —the second installment in director Robert Rodriguez's Mexico Trilogy , and Hayek's first major role in an English language film—nearly pushed her to her breaking point .
"I started to sob, 'I don't know that I can do it. I'm afraid,'" Hayek told Shepard. Hayek explained that both Rodriguez and Banderas did their best to ensure that she felt safe during the scene, but that their attempts to lighten the mood did little to make her feel better. ae0fcc31ae342fd3a1346ebb1f342fcb

While Hayek called Banderas an "absolute gentleman" during filming, noting that the two remain close to this day, she explained that her co-star's seeming comfort with the whole process only made things worse. "He was very free. It scared me that for him, it was like nothing," Hayek said. "I started crying, and he was like, 'Oh my god. You're making me feel terrible.' And I was so embarrassed that I was crying."
It wasn't just the idea of stripping down in front of the film's cast and crew that put Hayek on edge. In fact, the star said that it was the thought of her family eventually seeing the film that loomed large in her mind. "I keep thinking of my father and my brother," said Hayek (pictured here with her brother, Sami Hayek ). " Are they going to see it? And are they going to get teased? "
Hayek said that she thinks there's a double standard when it comes to how male and female nudity are perceived. "Guys don't have that," said the actor. "Your father will be, 'Yeah! That's my son!'" While Hayek went through with the scene in the end, she said that she had no knowledge it would be part of the movie when she agreed to the role. "It was not in the original script," Hayek told Elle in a 2020 interview, noting the scene was added following her screen test . "I was already like, 'No, that was not in there the first time.'"
Luckily, Hayek never had to find out how her family might react to seeing her sex scene.
"I walked out of the premiere when they played it and I took my brother, father, and mother with me. I didn't want any of them to see it," Hayek told Elle . "They were happy to walk out right away and then we came back again." Salma Hayek has revealed that she cried before filming nude scenes with Antonio Banderas for her 1992 movie Desperado. The Mexican American film actress says she cried because she was worried about what her parents would think when they saw her on screen. “It was my first chance at an American film and I knew I had to take it,” Contactmusic quoted the Mexican beauty as telling The Sun newspaper. “In Desperado, I had great difficulty doing the love scene with Antonio Banderas. I actually cried,” she said. “I didn’t want to be naked in front of a camera and kept on thinking, ‘What will my mother and father think about this?’” she added.
Even though the movie became a cult hit and launched Hayek’s career, the 46-year-old actress, who’s English was not so great at the time, admitted that she initially thought the film had flopped and critics were blaming her for it.
“When the movie came out the critics were saying, ‘Salma Hayek is a bombshell’,” she said.

The now 51-year-old played Carolina in the flick; which told the tale of a gunslinger who became embroiled in a war with a local drug runner.
In one sizzling scene, Salma could be seen getting down and dirty with her co-star Antonio Banderas, who played El Mariachi in the film.
The bombshell showcased her washboard abs as she filmed the passionate clinch, with her displaying her ample assets and incredibly toned pins.
Salma previously explained that her first sex scene alongside Antonio in the movie took eight hours instead of the scheduled one to film.
The beauty shared: ”I’m not an exhibitionist. It was the first time, so it was very difficult."
Salma was also asked about which body she would now like to improve from 10 years ago, to which she responded: "My boobs."
However, she added to Allure magazine: ”They're not bad, by the way. I'm not complaining about them.”
That certainly wasn't the only nude scene Salma has done, with her also stripping off for stunning scenes in 2006 film Ask the Dawn 11 years later, with her taking to the screen alongside Colin Farrell.
The brunette could be seen getting wet and wild while going for a dip in the ocean late at night.
Salma, once again, stripped completely naked as the waves lapped around her nude body, with her showcasing her incredible stomach and ample assets.
