Self-bondage is the practice of placing or using fetishes, devices, and other methods of binding oneself to another person for sexual pleasure. It’s a popular form of self-bondage that can even be practiced by oneself without the assistance of another person. In the bedroom, many men and women practice self-bondage. However, many people practice self-bondage in public places such as in dance clubs and other venues where nudity is mandatory. In both instances, this can be a dangerous and unhealthy practice.
Self-restraint used to mean wearing leather and nylon tight jeans to keep you safe from other people. But these days, self-restraint has become much more than that. With society becoming more liberal-minded, the idea of “free expression” is slowly being replaced by more “sensitive” ideas such as self-defense. So, what are the new ways to self-restraint? Let’s take a look at the different options available to women.
These are just some of the common methods of self-bondage. The main difference between all of these is their elasticity and how they hold their shape. Self-bondage just means that you put yourself into a favored comfort mode, and the bond is either up to you or someone else. But. because you’re alone for most of the time, this type of play is generally considered to be potentially dangerous (as there is no one around to assist you in case an emergency arises).
The most flexible and the most popular, rubber band necklaces are very popular for providing self-restraint. I guess you could say they work pretty well! They’re also very convenient, you can wear them while doing chores or just watching television, and you can take them off just as easily. They’re available in a wide variety of colors, so picking one to go with your outfit should be easy. Some may have small holes in the middle of them so that you can easily remove them and put them back on again, but I’ve never seen any that weren’t stretchy enough to do so.
The classic leather choker is another common way to self-restraint. Usually worn around the neck, chokers make sure that whatever’s hanging there – neckline, shirt, dress, whatever – doesn’t show. Leather chokers tend to come in very feminine designs, which makes them extremely appealing to women. And their flexibility also makes them perfect for those who are not looking to hog it all the time.
Just like the name suggests, these are meant to be worn as pajamas. They have the same effect on your body as wearing a choker. You feel self-restraint because there is no way to pull them away from your neck. However, because of their thinness, you might be tempted to leave them untied if you happen to lose your concentration while reading the newspaper, or watching TV. Though lightweight, it would not be advisable to leave them by your side while traveling.
These are but a few of the ways to self-restraint that you can practice in everyday life. It is important to note that self-restraint isn’t just psychological – it is also about controlling your bodily actions. When you think about how many times you have stopped yourself from doing something due to your body’s natural impulse to obey your thoughts or your emotions, you get the idea. Thus, it is important to exercise self-restraint and control at all times.
If you are considering what the dangers of self bondage are, then I’m sure you have been thinking a lot lately about how to self bondage and can keep yourself safe and healthy when you engage in sexual activity with your partner, or with a stranger, even online. A common question, which a lot of people ask, is that what can I do to protect myself and what are some of the signs of someone engaging in self-bondage? Below, I’m going to go through each of these questions in detail. So you can have a clear understanding of what is it you should be concerned about when you are having sex online or off.
First of all, many people may not think of self-bondage as something dangerous. It is actually considered to be very dangerous, and even illegal, by some jurisdictions! As such, if you are considering any type of sexual activity on the Internet or off. It is absolutely critical that you educate yourself about the issues surrounding self-bondage. Self-bondage just refers to you putting yourself into a particular sexual restraint device. That release is either between you and another individual or in some cases, between you and another human being.
So now that you have an understanding of the dangers of self-bonds. There are some other questions you might have about these bonds. Including what exactly causes someone to become self-bonded. Whether there are any obvious signs and lastly if it’s alright to have sexual relations while bound. First of all, one of the main things that cause someone to become a self-bonder is trauma. Trauma can arise from a variety of different events. Depending on what caused the trauma, the healing process can take a long time or a short time. If you have been sexually abused or exploited. Then you might not have developed any sense of intimacy or sexual awareness. Which can lead to the development of self-bonds.
The art of learning how to be safer during self-bondage can be a life-changing skill that will change the way that you think about sex for the better. If you are like most people who are new to the subject, you probably think that it’s harmless enough that you shouldn’t worry about it. In reality, being forced to have sexual contact with someone against your will and your partner’s complete understanding of what you are doing can cause you a whole array of problems both physically and emotionally. Learning how to be safer during self-bondage can make sure that you never experience any kind of trauma or unhealthy feelings towards the sexual act. This can mean the difference between having a life that is full of happiness and success versus one that is fraught with stress and painful emotions.

When you are holding less than a foot of loose rope in each hand, pull the rope tight. Hold it tight until you are able to tie it. 2 Tie the rope . Tie the ends of the rope together using a square knot, a double-tied bow, or any other simple, sturdy knot. Squeeze your free arm into the wrapped rope , as deep as it will go, until you appear stuck.
Use the remaining rope and wrap that around the arms and body. First below the breasts or pecs, then over it. If you connect the check ropes between the arm and torso, you'll be able to snug it...

Wrap the rope around the leg of the bedframe and pull the end through the loop and tighten. Once you know how long you need the rope , tie another overhand loop knot in the other end of the rope . You can cut off the excess rope , but I recommend leaving some extra until you have used it a couple of times, in case you need to adjust the length.
Put the 2 ends of a rope together, then follow them down until you find the middle (the "bight"). Run the 2 tails between your pinkie and ring finger, then fold the bight down over your hand (palm facing you). Pull the tails all the way through the bight, then wrap them over the top and back of your hand and pull them through the bight again.
This set includes a lot of struggle animations and it is suited for partner AND self - bondage play. Best of all, it integrates with her B'Horny Hud and her Dragon Ring Relay. And all this for 500L$ - about half what I expected her to charge. If you have a flickr account, I have somewhat more explicit images to page through here.
Below I am going to show one way of doing this, adding layer after layer of easy bondage techniques that many people can self -tie. Every layer works independently, so every layer is optional. If a given layer doesn't appeal to you, don't do it! Make your gift your own

An online community for Dominant and submissive couples
With more and more relationships taking place online these days, submissives are finding themselves doing many of the things their Doms usually do. Putting themselves into wrist and ankle restraints is often top of the list. So here’s a quick tutorial to show you how to put yourself in wrist and ankle restraints.
You don’t need to spend a lot of money or purchase a complicated setup. A set of wrist and ankle cuffs with two chains, two connectors , and rope are all you need to get started.
I tie my rope to the legs of my bedframe. You can tie it to headboard and footboard if you have one, or if you’re lucky enough to have a four poster bed, tie it to the posters. Whatever you tie it to, you will need to make sure you have the correct length. You want it just long enough to reach the top of the mattress. I recommend starting with a piece of rope twice as long as you think you need. Tie an overhand loop knot in one end.
Using the overhand loop knot makes it easy to add and remove the rope from the bed. Wrap the rope around the leg of the bedframe and pull the end through the loop and tighten.
Once you know how long you need the rope, tie another overhand loop knot in the other end of the rope. You can cut off the excess rope, but I recommend leaving some extra until you have used it a couple of times, in case you need to adjust the length. You are now ready to put on the cuffs and put yourself into restraints.
I attach the chains and connectors to the ropes so they are easy to keep up with. The chains go on the wrist ropes and the connectors go on the ankle ropes. I use clothespins to hold the rope to the bed, otherwise the ropes will slip off to the floor. Just clip the rope to your sheet or mattress right behind the knot and it should hold in place until you need it.
Putting on the wrist cuffs takes some practice, but it will get easier. The biggest problem is holding it still while you buckle it, since you have only one hand available. It helps if you rest the wrist being cuffed on top of something, the bed or your leg, pressing down so the cuff is squeezed between your wrist and whatever to hold it steady. Velcro cuffs, while not as pretty as the leather cuffs, are even easier.
Once you have all four cuffs on, position yourself in the bed so that you can reach both sets of cuffs. If your ropes need adjusting, now is the time to make the adjustments. You want the ropes to have very little slack in them. The idea is to restrict your movements, so make sure they are not too long. Once you have them at the correct length, clip the connectors to your ankle cuffs.
Now it’s time for the wrists. The main thing to remember is if you can get into bondage, you can get out. So have fun and don’t panic. No matter how much you pull on the chains, you will be able to unclip them.
Start by unhooking the chains from the ropes and clipping them to a ring on each cuff. Make sure you keep the rope attached to the bed with the clothespins. Next, using your dominant hand, clip the chain on the cuff of your non-dominant hand to the rope, then remove the clothespin. This leaves your dominant hand free to do the tricky work. The length of the chain will allow you to bend your wrist and and grab the clip. Carefully clip the chain to the rope, the remove the clothespin. You have successfully cuffed yourself!
I hope this has been helpful. I enjoy bondage and being able to put myself into bondage for play has greatly added to the enjoyment of both me and my Master.

Buy an under-the-bed system for an easier restraint solution. Search online or wherever adult accessories are sold for an under-the-bed restraint system. There are many available at a wide range of prices. The system will still take a little work to set up, but it's not as difficult or complicated as tying rope yourself. [1]

Typically, you'll have to remove the mattress completely to put the system in place. There's usually a center anchor and 4 straps that lead to each corner. Pull these taut and replace the mattress on top.

Measure the correct amount of rope for each point if you're tying yourself. You need enough rope to wrap around each post at least once and get to your wrists and ankles. If you're not using cuffs, you also need enough rope to knot and wrap around your wrists and ankles. Having 4 15-foot (about 5-meter) ropes (one for each corner) will usually be sufficient. [2]

When using rope, keep in mind that it's always better to have too much than to not have enough. While you can attach two ropes together to extend them, that just complicates things. It's much easier just to have rope the length you need to start with.
If you're using an under-the-bed system, you don't have to do this—the straps are adjustable. [3]
