I sat back in my chair and stared at the ceiling. I was trying to process everything.
“So let me get this straight.” I said as everyone sighed. I looked at them.
“Here we go.” Red said. i rolled my eyes. this nigga got the nerve to talk. i know he was just as confused as me. I’ll take this L though.
“You think ol girl from the game Sunday was you dead girlfriend from 8 years 9 years ago?”
“She wasn’t my girlfriend…And she didn’t die..She was in a coma.”
“Because….I said somethings that I need to apologize for.”

“Exactly so why you tripping on ol girl?..you and Kae just got back together” Wackstar spoke up. We looked back to Chris.

“You were in love with her?” I asked. Chris looked up.
“That easy?” He said laughing a little. This was my cousin almost like my brother. I could read him like a book.
“I said somethings about her….I was head over heels for her but let my friends get in my head……I was embarrassed to love her back then because i was young and stupid and I was just starting out….I let everyone get in my head.”
“So what you gonna do say sorry?..And you think alll your troubles will go away.”

“Yo Ron and them here.” Red said opening the door. I looked back at Chris.
“I’ll talk to Yoshi and see what’s up…I can’t guarantee that her friend gonna talk…You probably creep her out for real.” I said laughing. I stood up and pulled Chris in. That was nigga man. I was always gonna look out for him. Despite what the world thinks…I know he’s a good person. I’ll help him as much as i can.
I stared at Jarell in shock….I knew about her accident and memory loss but who the fuck would’ve thought this.
“You mean her and Chris were friends?” I said rubbing my chin.
“Yea…He just wants to talk to her.”
“I can tell you right now she doesn’t remember him…It took almost 2 years for her to remember her parents and that’s only bits and parts.” I said sitting down on my hood. He took a seat next to me.
“I know but still..He just wants to say sorry.”
“It wasn’t his fault.” I said looking at him.
“I know that you know that but that’s just how Chris is…He works around with all this guilt….He’s use to hate and shit so he thinks he needs to to bend over backwards for forgiveness.” He said.
“I’ll talk to her…..That’s all I can do….But he needs to stay away from her…I heard about the slap at the game..Don’t want a repeat.”
“Cool thanks…You always look out for the kid.”
“Yea yea” I said hugging him. I walked into Riley’s boutique. I made my way to the back and put my purse up. I turned the corner and saw Brae. I stood there and gave her a long look. She’s been my best friend forever…Since college….She wouldn’t keep the secret about knowing Chris Brown…She totally didn’t remember him…Right? She walked up to me.
“Can we talk?” I said pulling her into the office. She smiled at me.
“The thing with Chris Brown.” I said standing in front of the door and looking at her.

“Right..Well here’s the thing..He wants to see you.”

I heard screams and turned the corner. I made my way to the front and there he stood. The customers stood around him. I ducked behind the counter.What in god’s name is he doing here. I heard him clear his throat. I looked up.
“What are you doing here?” I said smiling.
“Why are you following me you stalker.” I spat.
“Do not call me that….That’s for friends”
“Problem?” Riley said coming at my side.
“No. I was actually here looking for a gift.” He said smiling.
“Ahh for girlfriend….I can help you….Brae go get these thirsty women some water..Come Chris.” She said taking his hand. I watched them walk away. What a strange man. Yoshi was at my side.
“Girl I aint know he was going to show up.” She said. i walked away from her. I needed some air so I went outside. This is weird. I mean If I did know him before the accident..Why didn't he ever visit me? Why after all these years doe she care so much to stalk me now? I mean he’s famous…Maybe we only met once at a show or something. Whatever I don’t need to stress this.
“Baby” Landon said coming up to me. I lost balance and he held me.
“I’m alright baby.” I said laying on his chest. I felt a little dizzy actually.
“Aye Chris come on we out.” Rell said. I looked up. Chris waved at me. I rolled my eyes.
“Woah Chris Brown just waved at you.” Landon said laughing. Landon started to walk over. I rolled my eyes and followed.
“Couldn’t help but notice you wave at my fiance…..I’m Landon…also a big fan of your work.” Landon said holding his hand out.
“Fiance?” Chris said looking at me. i looked away. Landon took his hand back.
“Yes,How do you know Braelyn?” He said.
“No,I’m just curious…I know a big celebrity like yourself doesn’t wave to random people on the street.”He said moving close to Chris. I looked around as people began to watch. I looked at Chris who was clenching his jaw.
“I mistaken your fiance as someone else. That was my bad.” Chris said through gritted teeth. Rell pulled him away. I looked up at Landon.
“What the hell was that?” I said walking away. He pulled me back.
“I’m sorry baby…..I just..He’s bad news…” He said pullng me into his arms. He kissed me. I smiled and kissed him back.
“Ahh..Well let me grab my things so my man can take me to lunch.” I said kissing him again. I walked back into the shop. Riley was staring at me. I shrugged and grabbed my purse before walking out. Landon took my hand and led me to the car. I was starting to feel bad about acting that way to Chris. I could at least be a decent person and hear him out…..I’m sure he had his reasons after my accident….He was famous..Who would want to be linked to a vegetable? What am I saying. i don’t know him. I would’ve remember something it’s been 9 years…..
I sat in the booth with my head down. Seeing Brae again fucked me up on the inside. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. This was bad real bad. On top of that she was engaged. i mean I was happy for her. If she was happy and in love and shit. I should be happy for her..So why do I feel like this..It’s been years since I’ve seen her. So why does she make my heart rush and my stomach do flips. I’m not that 15 year old little boy any more so those feelings should be gone….I had Kae…..I shouldn’t be feeling like this. I heard the music play on my headphones. I been in the studio trying to finish this album.
“ You’d love another man. My heart is broken in two.She wears a ring on the other hand.She’s scared to tell me the truth,but if you are leaving,I want you to know that I should’ve loved you way more, way more.So, if this is the end of us now…..I’ll see you around.” I sand into the mic. I looked down at my phone. i signaled Ray to cut the track. It was Kae.
“What’s up.” I said putting the phone to my ear.
“I just wanted to know if you wanted to grab lunch.”
“Sure babe..I’m at the studio…Where are you?”
“I just got back to the house…Come pick me up?” She said.
“Love you.” She said. I bit down on my lip before replying.
“Love you too.” I said hanging up. I stuffed my phone in my pocket and walked out the booth.
“Yea Imma go to lunch with Kae. I’ll be back in 2 hours or whatever.” I said grabbing my keys and walking out. I got in my lambo and made my way home. Before I knew it I was home. Kae hopped in and kissed my cheek.
“Anywhere you want to go?” I said pulling out the driveway.
“The usual.” She said. Of course. I rolled my eyes slightly. I pulled up to her favorite restaurant. I hopped out and rolled my eyes as soon as people started with the cameras. I should be used to this shit but I’ll never be. Shit was annoying. I held her hand as we walked inside. My heart nearly stopped when I saw Brae. she was sitting with that guy. His back was to me. She was laughing. I smiled. Kae gave my hand a squeeze.
“Hey usual seats?” A female voice said. I was in a daze. i finally broke out.
“Ummm actually I’m trying not to be seen can I get the booth in the back outside.” I said letting go of Kae.
“Yes,right this way.” She said. We got to our seats. I made sure to sit in view of Brae. She couldn’t se me because of the angle but I could see her. Kae waved her hand in front of my face.
“What are you looking at?” She said.
“Nothing..I just never noticed how beautiful this place was.” I said lying. I gave her a half smile. She leaned in and kissed my lips. I kissed her back but my eyes were on Brae. Kae noticed and turned around. I sat back in my seat. Here we go.
“Are you staring at that girl right now seriously?” She said turning to me.
“She looked familiar.” I said closing my eyes.
“You think I’m in the mood for this shit either Chris….I never know which women is gonna be the next bitch to come up and tell me about yall.” She spat. I hit the table.
“Shut the fuck up already please.” I said staring at her. She waved her hand at me. The waitress came over.
“Me too.” Kae said. Things got quiet. She brought our waters back and asked if we were ready to order. We both declined.
“I’m sorry.” She said. I sighed and rubbed my face.
“I’m not tripping” I said leaning forward.
“I want us to work Chris……Sometimes I feel like you’re not trying here.”
“I don’t want to do this right now.”
“So when huh?…..You asked me to forgive you and come back and I fucking did…….You kept calling and chasing after me..Not the other way around.”
“You really think I can’t live without you?….You need me not the other way around watch your mouth.”
“Are you kidding me?” She said I looked at Brae she was getting up from her seat. Kae stood up blocking my view. I felt cold water fall down my face. I shook my head and looked at her slam her glass down and walk away. Brae looked over at me. She was coming over to me? She stopped in front of me. She bit down on her lip.
“”I’m sorry about slapping and yelling at you…..Without hearing you out.” She said. She handed me a napkin. I took it and wiped my face off. I was speechless. I couldn’t say anything. I was nervous.
“Brae let’s get going.” Her guy called out.
“Goodbye Mr.Brown.” She said turning around. I sat there lost for words. I was such an idiot. I threw down a 20 and left. Kae was waiting by the car. I snatched my door open after paying the valet. I should just leave her ass here.She got in and didn’t say a word. 
“Where you going cause I’m not bringing you to my house with that attitude.” I said pulling out.
“Just drop me home so I can get my car.”
“Whatever Chris.If you just talked to me instead of shutting me out…I’m your girlfriend. I want to be here for you…..”

“You loved me?…….That’s what scares me…..” She said. I looked over at her. I grabbed her hand and kissed it.

I flipped through my notebook trying to study while best friend Yoshira was talking my head off. I ran my hand through my hair. I was in my last year of medical school and I refuse to let myself get anything below a B this time. I’ve never been the type to play around in school. i worked hard and that’s why I’m here today.
“Yoshi pls” I said turning my chair around.
“You always studying let’s go out…Let’s have fun.”
“Fun with you involves drinking and fucking no thanks.” I said turning back around.

“Anyways what did you need help with..i could use the extra cash..Riley be cutting my checks short.” I said leaning back in my chair.
“Well this charity basketball game is coming up and I was asked to do the clocks…Sooo why not drag my best friend along.” She said hopping off the couch. I rolled my eyes.
“I don’t know a thing about basketball.”
“Me either..I’m sure we just push buttons.” She said laughing.
“What bitch??” I said getting excited.
“Yoshi..I’m going out with Landon’s mother. all day.”
“Girl..Cancel..That old hag is annoying.” Yoshi said spinning around.

“I know bitch…Mrs.Jackson” She said laughing. I rolled my eyes and played with my necklace. i packed up my bag and got up.
“No you’re leaving me already?” She said pouting.
“Yes..it’s getting late. I’m ready for bed.” I said pulling her little body into a hug.
“I’ll miss you.” She said. I kissed hr head. She was such a baby. I made my way put of her apartment and into my black range. I hummed along to the music on the radio. Before I knew it I was home. I made my way inside. i slipped my heels off and left them at the door. This house is so big for just the two of us I hated it.
“Kim you’re still here? “I said to the house maid.
“Yes sorry. i got in late..My son was sick an di couldn’t find a babysitter until 3.” She said.
“Oh honey next time call out…We understand.” I said.
“Thank you so much ma’am” She said.
“Here.” I said handing her 40. she shook her head no.
“No I insist…..You really work hard for him…Take tomorrow off please.” I said. She smiled and took the money. i made my way to Landon’s study. He was on the phone so I waited until hung up. He got up and wrapped his hands around my waist. I kissed his lips.
“How was your day beautiful?” He said.
“Ehh just full of studying. I’ll be working the clinic all day Saturday.” i said walking out. He followed me upstairs and tossed me on the bed.
“Mmmm is that true” He said slipping me out of my pants. I giggled as he placed kisses on my thighs.
“Yes…And i need you to cancel Sunday with your mother.” I said fast. He stopped and looked up at me. 
“Why?” he said sitting at the end of the bed.
“I have to work..please please…I’ll make it up to you. I said crawling to the end of the bed. i placed my hand on his pants and rubbed his dick. He rolled his eyes and fell back. i climbed on top of him and kissed his neck.
“Fine big head.” He said slapping my butt. i shot up and laughed.
“Come let’s shower together.” I said pulling him up.
I watched the smoke fall from my mouth and into the already clouded room. I pulled down my beanie before passing the blunt to my cousin Jarell.
“Man you know I’m on probation. My PO be tryna catch me slipping….But come on Rell aint never going down. “He said passing to Red. I laughed this nigga always talking in 3rd person. I unlocked my IPhone and scrolled through IG. I found myself on her page again. I sighed.
“Man here you go…Get off of Kae’s page you damn weirdo.” Rell said snatching my phone. i snatched it back and dialed her number leaving the room. It went straight to voicemail. Like always.
“Hey you reached Karrueche Tran,Sorry i missed your call but I will get back to you as soon as I can.” She said. I hung up. I can’t believe this shit. I refuse for this to be the end of us. Over a rumor like she aint even let me explain….I walked back into the studio and sat back down in my chair. i placed the phone on my lip and leaned back in my chair closing my eyes. Nobody to blame but myself……
“Nigga there is too much pussy in the world for you to be crying over Kapow..Let go and Let God boy.” Rell said laughing. I pulled my beanie over my eyes. I knew I should but I just couldn’t. I refused to let her go. I loved her. I really loved her and I regret everything I did too her. My phone started to vibrate. i looked down at the text it was from one of my hoes. I rolled my eyes.
“Whatever…Ya’ll tryna ball up though right?”
“No doubt..I’m excited.” Rell said grinning.
“Ya people came through right?” I said texting this hoe back.
“Yea…i got that covered.” He said standing up. I looked at him up and down. I hope so. She texted back in no time. I got up and grabbed my jacket.
“To Sasha’s or whatever her name is.”
“Good,see I told you only a matter of time before you start fucking with someone else.”
“It’s not like that…I juts need some top.” I said laughing grabbing my car keys.I made my way outside of the studio and hopped in my blue lambo. I looked down at my phone an sighed before dialing Kae again. Voice mail. i threw my phone into the passenger seat and sped out the parking lot. This is what I get huh? Taking her for granted…I punched the steering wheel. I wish she would just stop being childish and talk to me. I have no one to blame but myself. It’s always my fault. I put myself in these positions…..I’ll just handle all of them the best way I know how……
I fixed my two braids in the mirror. I looked over at Brae who wore a frown on her face. I applied my gloss and hit her arm.
