Sebastián Báez Claims Maiden ATP 500 Title with Stunning Victory in Hamburg

Argentina’s rising tennis star, Sebastián Báez, secured the biggest title of his career on Sunday, defeating top-seeded Andrey Rublev in a thrilling three-set final at the Hamburg European Open. The 23-year-old battled through intense rallies and a rain delay to clinch a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 victory, earning his first ATP 500 crown.

Báez, known for his relentless baseline game and deft drop shots, showcased his resilience after dropping the second set. In a tense third set, he saved two break points at 4-4 before breaking Rublev in the final game, sealing the win with a blistering forehand down the line.

The victory marks Báez’s fifth ATP Tour title and propels him into the top 20 of the ATP rankings for the first time.
