Gay porn star Jason Pacheco – known by his Sean Cody stage name Randy – has died at the age of 33.
Pacheco had recently posted on Instagram that he had been hospitalised with kidney problems, and linked to a GoFundMe page to help with his medical costs, though his cause of death has not been made public.
“I hate to ask for any help but I am going through some medical issues, my kidneys were failing amongst a couple other issues but I am doing better,” he said in an Instagram post .
“I have been in the hospital for five days now. To all my fans I will start posting much more after I recover from this. Anything helps.”
He added on his GoFundMe page, which was created less than two weeks ago, that he had been feeling “deathly ill” with low kidney function.
“Life has gotten much better and I am so happy to have made it this far. Unfortunately, I have this setback with my health,” he said.
According to Queerty , Pacheco began working in adult film in 2013 with gay porn studio Sean Cody, and was one of the studio’s most prolific stars.

“I love them all, and they are what keeps my career going.”

“He was always a good guy to be around, and had some amazing energy and authentic charm that was undeniable.
“From some amazing behind-the-scenes moments to Puerto Rico and Palm Springs, I had a great time every day he was on set. It’s incredibly sad to hear of his passing. You were a giant Randy, rest in peace.”

Jason "Randy" Pacheco of Sean Cody fame died days after posting an image from a hospital bed, writing that he was having kidney problems.
Adult film star Jason Pacheco, who went by the name Randy as a performer, died Saturday. He was 33.
Pacheco had recently posted a link to a GoFundMe page along with an Instagram post about being hospitalized with kidney problems and looking for funds to help with medical costs.
“I hate to ask for any help but I am going through some medical issues, my kidneys were failing amongst a couple other issues but I am doing better. I have been in the hospital for 5 days now. To all my fans I will start posting much more after I recover from this. Anything helps,” the Sean Cody star wrote.
The cause of death hasn’t been made public.
On the GoFundMe page, he wrote that he woke up more than a week ago “deathly ill” and went to the hospital where he was found to have only 21 percent kidney function.
“I have been in the hospital for 5 days now and as most of you know I am in recovery and I was living in a halfway house. Because I have been gone for so long I was discharged. Now when I leave I don't know what I am going to do or where I am going to go,” Pacheco wrote.
He added, “I have been in recovery since November 9, 2021. Life has gotten much better and I am so happy to have made it this far. Unfortunately, I have this setback with my health. Any donations will go towards finding a place to live and help me get back on my feet.”
Pacheco identified as straight, according to Queerty . He’d begun his work in adult film with gay porn studio Sean Cody starting in 2013 and was a fan favorite. He was also the studio’s more prolific star.
“I really give it my all. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to do this, and grateful for all the fans that I have. I love them all, and they are what keeps my career going,” Pacheco told not-safe-for-work site Str8Up in 2018.
His last film with the studio was in 2019.

David Enrique Meza, a.k.a. "Mario Romo," stabbed his millionaire boyfriend to death in an apparent plot to inherit his estate.
A former Sean Cody star has been sentenced to life in prison.
David Enrique Meza, an adult film actor and escort who went by the name "Mario Romo" in the world of gay porn, stabbed his boyfriend, Jake Clyde Merendino, to death in May 2015, according to Pink News and The San Diego Union-Tribune .
In an apparent plot to inherit Merendino's $3 million estate, Meza stabbed his 51-year-old lover 24 times, gutting him and slicing open his neck, according to evidence at trial. After Merendino died, Meza dumped the body off the edge of a cliff.
"One can’t even imagine the torture and torment Mr. Merendino experienced," said U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller, who gave Meza a life sentence for the "inhumane, depraved act."
The 26-year-old committed the crime in the early morning of May 2, not far from a condo Merendino had purchased for retirement in Rosarito, Mexico. The pair had been staying at a resort, Bobby’s by the Sea, to celebrate the condo's closing. Merendino was lured away from the hotel, after Meza called to say his motorcycle had broken down by the side of the road.
Afterward, Meza attempted to cross the U.S. border with his pregnant fiancée, Taylor Langston, while riding the motorcycle, which had been gifted to him by Merendino. Meza met Meredino online through a gay escort website in 2013 while, unbenknownst to him, Meza was still in a relationship with Langston.
