What We Collect

Scriptura does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to any third party. Every reading plan you follow, every verse you highlight, every bookmark you set, and every personal note you write is stored exclusively on your own device in a local SQLite database. None of this information ever leaves your device.

The app requests the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission so it can deliver your daily reading reminders. Those reminders are scheduled and fired entirely on-device by Android's notification system. No push notification service, no external server, and no device token is involved.

The app also holds the INTERNET permission, which Android requires for any network access. Scriptura may use a network connection to load Bible text or reading-plan content. However, no information that identifies you — no device identifiers, no usage events, no behavioral signals — is sent during or alongside those requests. Holding this permission means the app is capable of network access; it does not mean personal data is collected.

How We Use Your Information

Because Scriptura collects no personal data, there is nothing to use for any purpose beyond powering the app's features locally on your device. Your notes, highlights, and bookmarks exist only on your device and are used only to render the Scripture Reader, My Notes, and Highlights and Bookmarks screens.

Sharing

We do not share any data with any third party. Scriptura ships no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no advertising network, and no attribution tool. There is no back-end server that receives your data.

Children's Privacy

Scriptura is not directed specifically to children under 13. It collects no personal data from users of any age and contains no advertising or social features.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted to the policy URL listed on this app's Google Play store page.
