Scribaby — Privacy Policy

Scribaby ("Scribaby", "the app", "we", "us") is a simple drawing app made for young

children. We designed Scribaby to be safe and private by default. This policy

explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with data.

**Short version:** Scribaby does not collect, store, or share any personal

information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third‑party

tracking. Everything your child draws stays on your device.

---

## 1. Who this app is for

Scribaby is intended for children (including those aged 5 and under) and the

families who care for them. Because it is offered in the Apple App Store Kids

Category, we follow Apple's Kids Category requirements and applicable

children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy

Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection

Regulation provisions for children (GDPR‑K).

## 2. Information we collect

**None.** Scribaby does not collect any personal information from you or your

child. Specifically, the app does **not**:

- ask for or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, or photos of people;

- require an account, sign‑in, or registration;

- collect location data;

- collect device identifiers such as the Advertising Identifier (IDFA);

- include advertising;

- include third‑party analytics, advertising, or tracking software (SDKs);

- transmit personal or device information to us or to any third party.

Scribaby works fully offline for drawing — creating, saving and opening

drawings never needs an internet connection. The only features that use the

network are the optional Pro subscription and restoring purchases, which are

handled by Apple (see Section 6).

## 3. Where your child's drawings are stored

Drawings are saved **only on your device**, inside the app's private storage.

We never receive a copy, and the drawings are not uploaded anywhere by the app.

If you previously used an older version of Scribaby, your last drawing may be

imported once from the app's local files into the new version. This happens

entirely on your device.

## 4. Saving to Photos and sharing (parent‑initiated)

Scribaby lets a grown‑up save a finished drawing to your device's photo library

or share it. These actions are protected behind a **parental gate** (a simple

step only an adult can complete) so a child cannot perform them alone.

- **Save to Photos:** With your permission, the drawing image is added to your

 device's own photo library. This stays on your device and is controlled by

 you and by Apple's Photos permissions. You can revoke this permission at any

 time in the device Settings.

- **Sharing:** Sharing uses Apple's standard system share sheet. You choose

 where the image goes (for example, Messages, Mail, or AirDrop). Scribaby does

 not receive or keep the shared content, and does not choose the recipient.

Any app or service you share to is governed by its own privacy policy, not

this one.

## 5. Settings

Scribaby stores a few non‑personal preferences (such as whether to confirm

before clearing the canvas, whether only Apple Pencil may draw, and whether

haptics are on) on your device using the standard system settings storage.

These are not linked to any identity and are not transmitted anywhere.

## 6. Subscriptions (Scribaby Pro)

Scribaby offers an **optional** auto‑renewable subscription, "Scribaby Pro",

that unlocks Advanced mode and the Learn to Draw lessons. Everything about the

purchase is handled by Apple:

- The purchase flow is placed **behind a parental gate**, so a child cannot buy

 it alone.

- Payment, billing, renewals and receipts are processed by **Apple** through

 your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment details.

- We do **not** collect any personal information as part of the subscription.

 Whether Pro is active is determined on your device via Apple's StoreKit.

You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in the device Settings

(your Apple Account → Subscriptions). Apple's own privacy policy governs the

payment process.

## 7. Data retention and deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you are in control of it:

- Clearing the canvas or saving a new drawing overwrites the stored drawing.

- Deleting the Scribaby app removes the app's locally stored drawings and

 preferences.

- Removing a saved image from Photos is done through the Photos app.

## 8. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including

children. If you believe the app has somehow received personal information,

please contact us (Section 10) and we will address it promptly.

## 9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app works in a way that affects privacy, we will update

this policy and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be

reflected here before or when they take effect.
