ScreenBrake Support

Effective date: 2026-05-13

ScreenBrake helps people add a short, user-controlled pause before opening distracting apps. The app is designed to be local-first and privacy-conscious.

Data stored on your device

ScreenBrake may store onboarding choices, selected protected app names, pause settings, companion progress, intervention history, estimated attention saved, Shortcuts setup state, and subscription entitlement cache locally on your device.

What ScreenBrake cannot see

ScreenBrake does not read messages, posts, videos, feeds, browsing content, or private content inside other apps. It does not scrape third-party apps and does not silently intercept app launches. Users configure Apple Shortcuts Personal Automations themselves.

Purchases and subscriptions

ScreenBrake uses Apple in-app purchases for subscriptions. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription entitlement state, restore purchases, and confirm whether Premium features are active. Payment processing is handled by Apple.

Analytics and attribution

ScreenBrake may use privacy-conscious analytics and attribution to understand product interactions, app functionality, purchase state, crashes, and onboarding performance. Analytics are not used to sell personal data or for third-party advertising tracking.

Notifications

If enabled, ScreenBrake may schedule local notifications for reminders such as follow-ups or recap readiness. Notifications are optional and can be disabled in iOS Settings.

Data sharing

ScreenBrake does not sell personal data and does not use third-party advertising tracking. Data handled by Apple, RevenueCat, analytics, or attribution providers is used for app functionality, subscriptions, diagnostics, analytics, and attribution as described above.

Deletion

You can reset local app data in ScreenBrake settings. Subscription management and purchase history are handled through Apple in-app purchases and RevenueCat entitlement checks.
