The certification is divided into three levels, of which the first is the lowest and the third the highest. The examination for the first level is held twice a year, in June and December, while those for the second and third levels are held only once a year, in June. You can only take the exam for the next level if you have passed the previous level, so it takes at least three years to complete the full course of study.

If I have to retake the exam in December (most likely): does it make sense to invest in Secret Sauce? What is this book? I have tons of handwritten notes (I'm oldschool because I'm old) and somehow I think part of my problem was just re-reading my notes which don't (obviously) cover everything just the formulas, the concepts.

Is Schweser enough for CFA Level 2022?

Schweser should be sufficient, I never even touch the underlying readings (CFAI) in level 1 not even their questions at the end of the each chapter (though it's highly recommended that you do so!).

From my personal experience, I can say that the CFA mocks are more difficult, but the Schweser mocks are always useful, so keep doing them. Doing more CFA mocks is preferable because you really expose yourself to questions similar to those in the exam. I have done about 6-7 Scwheser mocks and plan to do CFA mocks during the last week.

Is the CFA Level 2 the most difficult?

Unfortunately, the CFA Level 2 exam is a different beast, with a reputation for being the most challenging exam with the most material to cover. Many candidates have failed it, given the jump in difficulty that is unknown beforehand. 13 July 2022
