Porn star Olivia Nova, who rose to fame in the adult film industry in just a matter of months, has died at the young age of 20.
The Minnesota native was found dead in Las Vegas on January 7.
The cause of death is still not known, her agency, LA Direct Models, said in a statement released Monday.
On Christmas, Nova posted on Twitter that she was spending the holidays alone. The post said she wanted to 'give a fan a call' to 'lift my spirits'.
Nova's death comes less than a year after her boyfriend committed suicide. In a tweet earlier in December, she said he killed himself two days before her birthday in April.

'While only represented by Direct Models for a short period of time, we came to know Olivia as a beautiful girl with a very sweet and gentle personality,' LA Direct Models said, according to XBIZ. com.
'It is understood next of kin have been informed,' they added. 'Another one, way too young we are beyond shocked and most certainly, completely out of the blue. Rest in peace, sweet angel.'
Derek Hay, owner of LA Direct Models which signed Nova just before Christmas, described her as a 'sweet, mild-mannered girl'.
'It's very very sudden, she was really a sweet, mild mannered girl, we're very saddened by her death, she was only 20,' he told DailyMail.com.
'We had no inclination of any problems with her at all. I've spoken to a couple of friends of Olivia's and I have spoken to the coroner's office and her death is a mystery. Suicide isn't suspected and it doesn't seem anyone else was involved.
'Somebody must have been with her in the hours that preceded her death and if that person emerges we may learn more, but the death is not considered suspicious. There will be a post mortem but we won't get the results for six to eight weeks.'

Hay said Olivia - whose real first name is Alexis - had only been signed up to LA Direct Models for two months and she had been in the porn industry for just a year.
'We sent her to shoot in Prague and Paris which she completed, returning from that trip just a few days prior to Christmas. I have been speaking to Olivia regularly, she lives in Vegas, my office is in Vegas. She wanted to move from one agency to my own and we met several times to discuss the possibility of doing that.'
Hay says Nova died at a private residence in Vegas but not her own place and there was indication she was depressed despite tweeting she was spending the holidays alone.
He said the death - the fourth in porn in recent months - has rocked the industry.
'We're keenly aware, this is the fourth death in the porn industry in the past three months, it's incredible,' he said.
In an August interview with photographer Dave Naz, Nova said that she was shaking with nerves the first time she stripped for a project. But she said she was comfortable 'within seconds'.
She also said she had aspirations outside of the industry.
When asked where she saw herself in 10 years time, she said she planned on graduating school.
'I also have this huge project, it's non profit, that I want to be a part of,' Nova added.
Nova is the fourth porn star to die in recent months. August Ames, 23, committed suicide on December 6 while Turi Luv died in August from a drug overdose.
Shyla Stylez, 35, died in November and her cause of death is still unknown.

In my fifth year at grammar school, there was a girl in my class called Julie. She was a gorgeous-looking girl but was very much a loner. She was also something of a snitch, and one day she managed to get both myself and my friend Roger caned.
The next day, we decided we would get our revenge on Julie and set her bottom up with an appointment for the cane. The problem was how to do it. All the teachers liked Julie – she was generally a very well behaved girl and only occasionally committed minor misdemeanours, which were rarely punished. She had certainly never been sent for the cane.
In the end, Roger and I decided that the only way this would happen was if Julie was discovered to have committed one of those serious offences at our school which meant an automatic caning – such as playing truant, bullying or smoking. The latter was the only one we could think of that might work.
We got hold of an opened packet of cigarettes and somehow managed to sneak them into Julie’s school bag during the break. We had held one cigarette back – we this smoked sneakily between us and kept the butt. This we placed carelessly on the floor of the classroom, right next to the teacher’s desk.
Our plan worked perfectly – the teacher quickly noticed the butt and demanded to know who had been smoking. Of course, everyone denied all knowledge of it but our teacher wasn’t to be deterred – she announced that there would be a search of bags and desks. She made everyone stand up behind their desks so nothing could be moved, and began.
Julie was sitting on the front row, so it wasn’t long before here bag and desk were checked and surprise, surprise, the teacher found the partial packet of cigarettes. The fact that they were the same brand as the stub pretty much sealed her fate. Of course, Julie denied she had been smoking and said someone must have planted them, but the teacher wasn’t in the mood for arguments and continued with her search.
One unexpected consequence of our plan was that toward the end of the search, the teacher found more cigarettes, this time in a boy’s bag. That boy admitted it immediately, and the teacher then sent both him and Julie to the office with report slips.
As expected, both pupils were told to report to the deputy headmistress at the end of the day. Julie spent the rest of the time protesting her innocence to everybody and anybody, which of course I found highly amusing.
At the end of the day, I casually strolled past the deputy head’s office. Sure enough, Julie was there, looking very upset and nervous, along with the boy who had been caught out. I hung around close for a little while longer and after several minutes, Julie appeared walking up the corridor. She was rubbing her bum vigorously through her skirt and tears were running down her face. I couldn’t help but grin at her obvious distress.
Despite her best efforts, Julie never found out how the cigarettes got in her bag. One thing did change, though – she stopped being a snitch and gained some proper friends.
Around 20 years later, I met Julie again at a school reunion. We got chatting – she was still single – and actually hit it off really well. Ironically, I found out that she was now deputy head at a private school.
That revelation emboldened me to bring up the cigarettes incident. Julie told me that she had Roger and myself as her prime suspects, because she had got us both whacked the previous day. I had the good grace to blush and finally admitted what I had done. To my relief, Julie was more amused than angry. “Well, I guess we’re equal now,” she remarked. Then she revealed that she had been given eight strokes that day, rather than the usual six of the best reserved for such offences, because she kept jumping up during her caning.
I then carefully raised the subject of corporal punishment at her current school. Although the cane had been abolished in state schools by this time, it was still permitted in private education and Julie said it was still an option at her school, though rarely used, and that she had given the cane herself on several occasions.
With something of a wicked grin, I asked whether she enjoyed dishing it out. She replied: “Well, I do it as a last resort – it feels rather barbaric, to be honest, especially when you’ve had it yourself and know what it feels like.”
Part of me had been getting up the courage to ask Julie to cane me privately some time, but her comment seemed to put the lid on that idea. We did agree to meet again, though, and indeed we dated casually for some time – but sadly, it seemed Julie was too focused on her career to have much time for men, and we drifted apart.

One of the most precious things that exists in this world is childhood innocence. Unfortunately, the film industry has a disturbing history of having children perform sexually explicit actions on film, largely for the entertainment of adults. While attracting rightful condemnation from many, there is not enough being done to protect children working in the entertainment industry from being exposed to and participating in things that children should not be a part of.
This is a particularly timely list as the mainstream media has recently begun drawing attention to QAnon when a reporter recently asked the president what he thought about “his” suggestion that Mr Trump is working to end a deeply entrenched child sex trafficking cabal in the deep state with Hollywood complicity. Additionally, Netflix recently released a show Cuties which has horrified many with its extreme pro child sexuality content.
These are 10 films featuring children performing explicit actions on screen . . . disturbingly this is just the tip of the iceberg .
Seth Rogan’s 2019 comedy film Good Boys pushed all the remaining boundaries of late night comedies. The film features 3 13 year old boys, played by real 13 year old actors, who are preparing for their first Kissing Party and have several misadventures along the way. The boys activities in the film included them cursing, peeping on their neighbors and underage drinking. In addition there were several scenes featuring the underaged actors using sex toys , both properly and improperly. One scene featured 13 year old Jacob Trembly kissing a sex doll which was implied as being used by one of his friends parents. Another featured all 3 of the boys viewing a pornographic video. In spite of all of this, there was little mainstream controversy surrounding the film and it was released to the public without incident, grossing 110.6 million at the box office. [1]
Disney movies are meant to be child friendly and family friendly films. Given that they are mostly watched by children, Disney movies are often held to a higher standard in terms of what is on screen. That is not always the case however and several Disney films have been at the center of controversy, one such is the movie Blank Check. In 1994’s Blank Check, the 11 year old Preston was seen to be in a one sided relationship with a 32 year old actress featuring dates, romantic gifts, and culminating in a kiss on the lips at the end of the movie. It created controversy at the time but was quickly forgotten and Disney was forgiven. This scene came back to haunt Disney in 2019 when the film was rereleased on Disney’s new streaming service Disney Plus. Many people were shocked and appalled that Disney chose to keep the scene in the movie, however the protests fell on deaf ears and the scene remains on Disney Plus. [2]
Much like Blank Check, Interview with a Vampire features a kiss between an underage actor and an adult actor. The main difference is between the genders of the actors, with the female Kristin Dunst kissing the male Brad Pitt . There was a 19 year age difference between Pitt and Durst at the time. Since the film’s release, both Pitt and Durnst have spoken about the scene saying how they both felt disgusted by what they had to do and regret their roles. Although Durnst feels uncomfortable with the kiss she shared with Pitt, she still speaks highly of Brad Pitt and his behavior on set, saying that he was like an older brother to her. [3]
Francais Ford Coppola’s 1972 film The Godfather is considered by many to be one of the greatest films of all time. The film tells the story of World War Two veteran Micheal Corleone, the son of feared Mafia Don Vito Corleone, reluctantly taking over his father’s criminal empire during a time of conflict within New York’s organised crime families. In addition to controversy from Italian Civil Rights groups and real organized crime organizations in regards to the depictions of Italian Americans, one particular scene crossed the line. In the film, when Micheal is forced to flee to Italy after killing a rival monster as well as a New York City police captain, he meets a young Italian woman named Apollina, who he soon marries. In the scene where Micheal and Apollonia consummate their marriage, the then 16 year old Simonetta Stefanelli removed her top showing her bare chest and began a sexually suggestive scene with the then 30 year old Al Pacino. Despite this, The Godfather’s legacy as a cinematic masterpiece remains. [4]
