It was the pre-Boards season of Class 10th. Back in the times when CBSE actually conducted all subjective exams starting in February.
Not a very pleasant time to exist in. Nonetheless, while discussing English Writing Section, a statement made by my English teacher caught my attention. She had said : “In the final exam, please try not to write the same story within a given prompt. It gets monotonous for the evaluator.”
I still wonder if she’d said it seriously or just as a way to test who was paying attention to her. But like the over-confident kid I was, I countered instantly, “How are we to know we are all writing the same story, during the exam?”
She smiled back at me, “You will know.”
Class 6th, two reshufflings in one session. Half of the younger school moved to a new Primary building. We, being in Class 6th, were left to be the youngest in the old Secondary building, and shifted to our Class 1′s classrooms again.
Felt like childhood reversed. Amidst the chaos, joined a new Math teacher. Fourth Math teacher in one session for us. We vouched to make it difficult for him.
What we knew little was we’d be swept by his kindness. And music. An Indian Cedric Villani? You bet. It was difficult to make him sing at first for stupid kids like us but we were stubborn and we recognise good voice when we hear it.
Last day of Class 6th. First song he sang for us kids.
Is it weird I didn’t feel sad on the last day of school, at the end of my 12 years there?
Possibly because all the people I cared about, everything I loved about that place changed over time?
At the end of my journey, the ship I got off from, wasn’t the one I had boarded, nor the one I grew up in.
But then it makes me wonder, why was I sad on the last day of session in Class 5? Or Class 8? Even though I wouldn’t have left school after those so-called “last day”s? Was that the time when school was really loveable? Or was I just an insecure kid back then? Too young to avoid attachment with not just the space, but the whole time warped with it.
Looking into the future I wonder, will I ever be that emotionally attached to anything like that? Is attachment a side-trait of immaturity?

Darya Sudnishnikova was just 13 when she conceived her daughter, Emilia, now 11 months, hitting headlines around the world after claiming on national TV her then 10-year-old ex boyfriend, Ivan (Vanya), was the father .

Now 15, Darya told her followers she believes she is six weeks pregnant, and has seen a gynaecologist, discussing her struggles to decide whether or not to have a termination.
“I don’t know what to do, I really do not,” she told a Telegram online channel.
“I cannot decide on an abortion, because I do not know exactly how many weeks.
“If it is really six weeks, it is already a foetus.
“But I cannot have this baby because I clearly realise that I am unable to raise another child.
“I already have one. I will not have any time for the second one.”
The father is allegedly a 17-year-old named Maksim who she has been in an exclusive sexual relationship for around eight months.
Darya told how her mother Elena, 36, and boyfriend reacted when she said she was pregnant.
“She was deeply shocked and said: ‘Shall I beat you with a belt or …? I said – ‘No, please.’
“Then she asked, ‘Who is the father?’
She also claimed her boyfriend called her “stupid” after discovering the unexpected pregnancy, slamming his reaction online.
“I took birth control pills, but THEY DID NOT WORK!” she claimed.
When follower suggested it was “wrong” to have sex at her age and without a condom, she replied:
“You should ask Maksim. Why did he not use condoms? Not me.”
“If a person is ready for sexual intercourse and fully trusts his or her partner, it is all right. Why do you need to wait until your 18th birthday?”
The schoolgirl, who earns approximately $9000 a month since rising to social media fame as a teen mum, has 650,000 followers on Instagram and clocked up more than one million on TikTok but her account is currently blocked after complaints she is underage.
Her earnings are 12 times the average adult monthly salary in the Russian region, Krasnoyarsk, where she lives.
