Who can Apply for DOST-SEI Undergraduate:

• 1.1 Graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2022-2023:STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
• NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class, if belonging to the Non-STEM strand
• 1.2 Graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2022-2023 and did not enroll in college yet:STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class

The DOST-SEI Bangon Marawi Program in Science and Technology Human Resource Development (STHRD) was conceptualized in 2017 following the Marawi City siege. As the DOST’s service institute

for S&T human resource development, the Science Education Institute implemented the scholarship

program for the immediate members of families affected or displaced from their communities due to

the siege

The program has supported a total of 496 scholars in the undergraduate and graduate levels in its

five-year implementation. Out of this, 367 or 74% have already graduated and the rest are completing

their degrees

Aside from scholarship privileges, the Bangon Marawi Program provided a learning resource

center and training opportunities for the scholars.

5. GSIS Educational Loan

GSIS Educational Loan Online Application | GSIS LOAN

GSIS Educational Loan is a New “Study Now, Pay Later” Program intended for Children and or relaives of GSIS Members who are Currently Pursuing a College Degree.

QUALIFIED BORROWERS:

Member who are Active:

• At least 15 years length of service
• Has paid the latest three (3) monthly premium contributions for both Personal Share and Government Share at the time of application;
• Is not on leave of absence without pay at the time of application;
• Has no pending administrative and/or criminal case at the time of application;
• Has no past due GSIS loan/s, including housing loan;
• Agency status is not “suspended”; and
• Has met the net take home pay (NTHP) Requirements required Under the General Appropriations Act.

Amount to Be Loanable:

The maximum loanable amount is ₱100, 000.00 for each School Year or a maximum of ₱500, 000.00 for a five-year college degree.

QUALIFIED STUDENT : – Benefits

Qualified borrowers may nominate up to two (2) student-beneficiaries.

• Must be a Filipino citizen and resident of the Philippines;
• Must be related to the borrower up to the 3rd degree of consanguinity or affinity
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate course with maximum study period of five (5) years; and
• Must agree to act as Co-Maker on the loan upon reaching the legal age and in doing so, binds him/herself to the terms and conditions of the loan.

PAYMENT TERMS listed below:

• The loan term is 10 years,
• with a maximum grace period of five (5) years.
• This means loan repayment period shall only begin on the sixth (6th) year of the loan.
• The interest rate is 8% per annum.

• (Annex A) properly filled out by borrower and co-maker (if applicable) and duly endorse by the Authorized Agency Office (AAO).

• Photocopy of the latest Tuition Assessment Form (Original to be presented).
• Photocopy of School ID (front and back) with 3 signatures of the student affixed on the same page. In case the school ID is not available, any valid IDs showing the date of birth, picture and signature of the student.

The same requirements shall apply in case there’s a 2nd student beneficiary, which shall be considered as a separated loan application of the borrower under this program.

• Click Loans Application icon and choose (GFAL-EL), Loan Type (New or Renewal).
• Upload a Picture of Member holding UMID / Temporary CARD or 2 Valid Government IDs if UMID / Temporary CARD is lost (as JPEG or PDF File); Photocopy of the latest tuition assessment form ; and photocopy of school ID (front and back) with 3 signatures of the student-beneficiary on the same page
• Confirm Loan Agreement and click SAVE
• Await email confirmation from GSIS for tentative loan computation and loan counselling session via video conference

The Philippine Science High School has recently announced on June 15, 2022 that the application for PSHS’s scholarship for SY 2023-2024 is now open to eligible Filipino students

Through its Requirement for Admission, Criteria, and Evaluation (RACE) for the third consecutive year in light of the National Competitive Exam (NCE) for the Pisay scholarship application and screening of aspiring incoming Grade 7 students.

Who can apply for PSHS’s scholarship?

A Grade 6 elementary pupil from a duly recognized school by the Department of Education are eligble to apply provided that they meet the PSHS’s Requirement for Admission, Criteria, and Evaluation (RACE).

1. Applicants must have a final grade of 85% or better in Science and Mathematics, evidenced by the student’s report card. If the student’s grades in Science or Math are below 85%, then, he/she must provide evidence that he/she belongs to the upper 10% of the batch.
2. Must be Filipino citizens with no pending or approved application as immigrant to any foreign country.
3. Not more than 15 years old by June 30, 2023.
4. Must have at least a satisfactory rating (or its equivalent) in his/her Character Rating in his/her report
5. card (SY 2021–2022).
6. No previous application for PSHS admission.
7. Preferably, be in good health and fit to undergo a rigorous academic program.
