In the heart of Austria, where the Alps touch the sky, a peculiar race unfolds each year. The Riesentorlauf, or Giant's Gate Run, is no ordinary marathon. It's a nighttime spectacle, a test of endurance and speed, and this year, it set a new record.

The race begins at the Giant's Gate, a natural arch in the Schladming valley, and winds its way through the dark, winding roads of the Austrian Alps. The course is treacherous, with steep ascents and descents, and the night air is crisp, cutting through the lungs of the runners.
