This is an edited review on the Focusrite audio interface. I have two units: a Solo and a 2i2. When I bought them, they both performed well and as expected. The headset and microphone are excellent. After a year in service, both units, used on the same computer, stopped working at the same time. I made a plea for support which was provided through an exchange of emails followed by a request of proof of purchase even though the products were registered at time of purchase. After posting a review of the product on Amazon complaining about product support, I received that long wished for phone call from Focusrite. The issue was resolved by Focusrite and they provided me with an exchange. The telephone support was great and had Focusrite provided telephone support the issue could have been remediated timely and efficiently, and with satisfaction. In the end, Focusrite did resolve the issue although it did take time. I feel their intentions are good. I hope Focusrite moves away from email exchange as a way to resolve support issues. In my case, it was a time consuming, frustrating experience. Thank you folks at Focusrite, if you are reading this, for your attention to this matter and getting the support issue resolved. Robert

I am writing this review from the perspective of a guitar player, who likes to sing and is interesting in recording songs in the best way I can in an affordable perspective. I am not going to focus on whether this microphone is the best in the market or not since I am not an expert in such areas. What I can tell you is that I am really pleased with this product. It is fairly easy to install. You just need to take some minutes and read the instructions. What makes me give it 5 stars is the fact that I received so much software from this purchase. They hook me up with SW such as pro tools and a bunch of add ons for it that I am yet to learn how to use each and everyone of them. I got an option to choose between 4 different "virtual instruments" from which I choose a grand piano, There was another DAW SW included. The drivers were easy to install. Anyway, I cannot remember all the tools that came with the product but the point is that if you are starting to record this will give you all you need to start and keep your hands busy for a while.

so far so good, I've recorded several track with my guitar, using a digital amp simulator (guitar rig and amplitube) so far the results have been great, the quality of the sound is very good and clear, I only had a minor issue with the driver and had to try different versions since it did not work at first (working on a windows 10 home machine), other than that I have no complains. I have not recorded anything with the mic yet, but I had tried it out, It has a good sound, but is not a game changer. As a whole I would say is worth the price, and I will look forward for an upgrade for a different focusrite interface in the future!

The interface is great for my needs. I produce music and game on my pc as well as stream TV and movies. The interface produces excellent sound and have had no issues with latency. The microphone was surprisingly accurate with the sounds it records and I haven't noticed any discernable loss in quality during playback. The reason I am rating four stars is because of the headphones. They feel great on my head but the sound is nowhere near as good as it should be for studio quality reference headphones. I have a pair of Logitech 2.5 computer speakers as well as Mackie monitor speakers and the headphones sounded closer to the Logitechs which is not good if you are trying to listen to the aspects of your songs that need to be improved. This is definitely worth the buy because the interface is great and I feel the microphone is as good as other $200-$300 microphones that I have had experience with.

La calidad del sonido es excelente y muy Fácil de usar

The headphones are nice and durable. The interface works nicely with Pro Tools and Reaper but can't be used with FL Studio. The microphone has a decent balanced sound and it is probably going to be good for people like me who like to experiment with microphone placement. The setup works really nicely with proper gain staging and on vocals good microphone placement can significantly improve your sound. The microphone comes with a Euro Mic stand adapter already so don't panic if it doesn't screw into your Mic stand immediately. While I don't like the style of the shock mount, I do like how it screws into the microphone making it allot harder to drop and break. All in all this is a great setup for a beginner, not for any FL Studio users, and should be a great starting point for beginning audio engineers or independent artists looking for a first setup.

Great kit, simple and really clear sound, watch out for delivery.

I love this kit. My old set up had a lot of issues with white noise and clarity, but this sounds so clear. It's gorgeous for recording soft vocals, but it also handles a good belt very well. Top quality, especially for the price. The headphones are comfortable and they sound great too. The interface is so simple to use, there aren't any useless buttons making it confusing. It did not take long to get everything set up and to start testing it! It all looks beautiful too. I've recorded a lot since getting it over a month ago and I'm in love! I'd recommend also getting a mic stand as it's really not a "hold it" mic. I was a little disappointed by the software, I found it confusing (its been a while since I've used music software other than audacity, but I studied music at college and university and used Cubase, logic, sibaleous and pro tools so I hoped I'd be able to figure it out quickly). Pro tools kept crashing, I kept getting messages saying things weren't installed properly, and I had latency issues. That being said I'm working on an old pc so that could be why, just thought I'd add that in case you have an old pc or are particularly interested in the software. The only thing I'm really mad about was the delivery. It was due to arrive before 9pm and I waited at home till 6, but there was a family emergency so I had to leave for a couple of days. I updated the delivery information saying to leave it with my neighbor as I don't have a safe place. I got a notification saying it had been "handed to resident" so I assumed that meant my neighbor had taken it in, however, the next morning my partner said he got a delivery before Christmas (a Kindle, so also not a cheap item), and he waited in for it all day, he got a notification saying it was "handed to resident" but he knew it hadn't been and found it in the bin outside. I asked my dad to go and see if it was in the bin as I was nervous about it being left out and I wouldn't get home till the following morning. He went to my house and saw it behind the bin, as in before he even got into my garden, he could see a big delivery box sitting behind the bin. I like my immediate neighbors, but I don't live in a fancy area, and this was on display for everyone to see. It wasn't even covered, and living in the north of England it rains - a lot! I'm lucky it was still there when dad checked, and that it wasn't damaged by the weather. It would have been more than I could have afforded to replace it. I'm still upset about it, highly unprofessional, which is a shame because it was packaged well and the stuff is great! But how hard could it have been to knock on my neighbors door? Shocking. Overall, I'd say it's excellent, well worth the money, but watch out for delivery.

Perfect entry audio bundle!

Very good little set for beginners or people wanting to experiment with music or start recording better audio. I sometimes get some noise but it's quickly fixed by unplugging and plugging it back in. Headphones are very well balanced, noticing a lot that I didn't before with a gaming headset! Interface is minimal and easy to use, microphone is very sensitive but also fit for purpose if you can suppress background noise. Can feel a little cheap but it's very competitively priced and will treat you well as long as you take care of it!

Best Audio Purchase I've Made

Before this I was always using terrible gaming microphones but now my voice is crisp and clear for my friends, I even feel like if I wanted to I could do podcasts or some youtube stuff but that stuff is on the backburner for now but otherwise I highly recommend it, Easy to work with, you won't need to buy a new microphone at all. I do recommend getting a mic stand though and the cable at the back can be a tiny bit fiddly make sure its in properly.

Excellent Hardware but Requires patience for setting up in Windows PC

This is a very good investment if you are someone like me who is just starting out. The mic and interface are superb and excellent quality. The hardware is great. My only issue was the software. If you are using Windows pc, it can be quite a daunting and boring process as you have to manually install the drivers etc. It also required that i download quicktime player so that i could import audio to protools( but then again, i am still learning) so it took a good afternoon to figure out most things. But overall, i am quite happy with it all.

Great Product

I purchased this product after trying various USB podcast systems. USB microphones plugged into my PC were picking up noise like fans and disk access. I decided to look into 'condenser microphones' and found the Focusrite Scarlett USB Audio Interface and the Scarlett Studio CM25 microphone was the best solution. Because the microphone is not directly plugged into the PC, none of the noise issues I had previously were being recorded. In my opinion, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio (2nd Gen) USB Audio Interface and recording bundle with Pro Tools is a great purchase.
