ScanOnce - Privacy Policy

ScanOnce is a document scanner that runs entirely on your iPhone. This policy explains what that means in practice.

What we collect

Nothing. ScanOnce has no account, no sign-up and no login. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs. The app makes no internet connections at all.

Where your data lives

Your scans, the recognised text and the PDFs you export are stored locally on your device. Scanning and text recognition are performed on-device by Apple's own frameworks; no image or text is uploaded anywhere. This data is included in your own iPhone backups if you have those enabled, which are controlled entirely by you and Apple. We have no access to those backups.

Camera and photos

ScanOnce asks for camera access only so you can capture a document. Captured pages are written straight into the app's own storage. The app does not upload, share or transmit them, and nothing is sent to us.

Face ID

If you turn on the optional lock, ScanOnce asks iOS to authenticate you with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. iOS performs the check and tells the app only whether it succeeded. Your biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave and is never available to ScanOnce or to us.

Price

ScanOnce is a one-time purchase. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so we receive no payment information of any kind. Purchases are handled by Apple, which does not share your payment details with us.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
