We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Scala to join a team building real-time, high-performance systems for the streaming industry.




In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

* Building and optimizing scalable backend services that power real-time ad decisioning.
* Writing high-quality, tested code in Scala.
* Designing APIs that integrate audience data, content metadata, and ad inventory services.
* Implementing algorithms for selecting optimal ad sets based on complex targeting rules.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship reliable and impactful features.
* Contributing to a high-performing engineering culture through mentorship and code reviews.




The ideal candidate will have:

* 5+ years of backend software development experience in a modern JVM language (Scala, Java, Kotlin).
* Strong experience designing distributed systems for high throughput and low latency.
* Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka or Kinesis, and stateless microservice design.
* A passion for problem-solving, performance optimization, and building impactful systems.
