What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Costs
Upgrades come with a few associated costs. The first cost is the upgrade itself. The cost is based on the item's new ilvl and the amount of perks it receives, and can be expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.
The second is the price of the materials needed for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or a specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. These materials are available in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.
Upgrades to an item are complicated and takes time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it can take up to 8 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl and other characteristics. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In some instances, an upgrade can grant additional benefits. These perks are offered on a table.
In rare cases, the upgrade will replace only the highest-costing bonuses. The upgrader could also make other modifications to the item, for example, changing its weapon damage type or eliminating an operational or unwieldy feature. These modifications are based on an item's ilvl, and may require special materials, such as adamantine.
Success Rate
