I am a loyal fan to the Saucony Jazz original and low pro shoes. I have been wearing and purchasing for many years. This year was very difficult for me to find a pair I wanted. The colors and color combos are a bit out of my spectrum. The ones I do like of course aren’t available in my size. What’s that tell you Saucony?! My second complaint would be that the tongue apparently has become too expensive to be padded. Now they are nothing more than thin Strips of fabric. What’s up with that? With this new change I can no longer slip my shoes on without having to bend over and hold onto the tongue so it doesn’t go into to shoe with my foot. Tisk, Tisk. Other than that I did find this pair that match my beloved Buckeye colors. And they do fit as they should and wear comfortably for hours and hours. Just wish the tongue had more than seven cents worth of fabric.
I have been previously wearing the women's version of this shoe, (as I am a woman) but, since the all black with the hint of red trim around the ankle was not available in women's, I opted to just convert the size into the men's sneaker. Amazon has a cool little do-dad where you tell them the make and model of the well fitting shoe you currently own, and they tell you what size you should order in the new shoe, with an image to predict how the shoe will fit all over in comparison to the old shoe. I would have guessed to buy 2 sizes down, but I went ahead with the recommendation of a size and a half down, and it was correct. In general, it's a very good fit, the only difference being that the toe box is slightly narrower in the men's shoe than it is in the women's shoe. I took the insoles out and replaced them with my orthotic insoles by Arch Rival. (also purchased on Amazon) They fit perfectly, and work well in these sneakers. I have been sticking with Saucony for the last 4 pairs of shoes I have purchased because, since wearing them, the severe plantar fasciaitis I had been suffering with for about 3 years, has diminished to nearly nothing. I was on the brink of surgery for gastronemic recession, and now I only need to ice now and then, and/or take an NSAID occasionally to manage it. No surgery so far!
Reviewed after a year of wearing: A true reproduction of a lightweight, breathable classic. These are fantastic especially for the price. They are a Japanese shoe and may run the tiniest bit snug, but not so much that you should change your size just enough that it's choice for narrow feet. These shoes add a pinch of height, as the tread comes out a bit. Speaking of which the tread is interesting... Doesn't do much to add grip but it's nice that rocks won't get stuck in them. The downsides of this shoe are what makes it nice. The upper is such a soft synthetic that your feet aren't really being kept in place at all. The sole being a bit narrow, especially coming in on the inside of your foot means that if you stand funny, the insides of your feet can just almost hang over the shoe. The strangest thing about these shoes however is that the extra laces came already laced meaning they had a white and a black set of laces already laced up... Double laced how odd is that? These make great beaters and the thick tread means they'll last me at least another year. I'm pleased.

I own two other pairs of Jazz sneakers (Saucony Originals Women's Jazz Low Pro Sneaker,Black/Gray/Red, 8 M). This third pair (in men's size 7) is different in several ways, the most important being that this latest pair is not as comfortable. After about 5 hours, the shoes are annoying, and I'm anxious to get them off. This is not due to men's versus women's sizing. I've bought men's shoes many times, and they fit just fine. Feet are rather genderless. Also note that: The blue is darker than I expected. It's denim blue, but in all but the brightest sunlight, it looks almost the same color as the black "leather" frames and heels. I would have preferred a lighter, more obviously blue color. These come with two pairs of laces -- white and blue. However, the blue laces are NAVY blue and do not match the shoe color at all. I think Saucony cheaped out on this and made no attempt to assure the blue laces matched the blue parts of the shoes. If they couldn't be bothered to supply denim-blue laces, they should have supplied black laces. The navy blue looks terrible against the black trim. I love the metallic-silver side and heel trim. The soles are 1-1/8" thick at the heels; much thicker than the other two Jazz sneakers. Like the other Jazz sneakers I have, the non-clogging treads are very effective at hugging the ground, so much so that wiping your feet on a doormat will probably pick up and move the mat.
I have very low arches and shoes with a lot of arch support usually hurt my feet. Bought a pair of Saucony Jazz shoes about 20 years ago and remember thinking that these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I have never bought shoes online before but when I saw these on Amazon I thought I would give them a try. Very happy with my decision. They are still (for my feet at least) some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. One warning I would give to others is that Saucony shoes seen to fit a little small compared to others so I would recommend ordering a ½ size larger than you usually wear.

These are very thin material and feel too lightweight compared to my old Saucony trainers .. feel very cheap and not so well structured and put together .. a bit disappointed to be honest. comfortable but don't feel as supportive and robust as I was hoping.. not sure about running support.

Very comfy. They look great, but they are starting to wear after only 2 months. A small hole has appeared that is getting bigger (from the inside). I don't run or play any sports in these. Just walking. Save yourself £70 and buy from a decent sports brand instead. I won't buy Saucony again. The seller and Amazon refuse any kind of refund. Considering closing my Amazon account (not just because of this). I'm just fed up of this money guzzling behemoth!
