Works just fine. The pins on the Molex end bend easily, so it took some time to align them so it would plug in right, but I think that's just how these type connectors are, not a problem with this particular product. It's a pretty essential item if you have an older power supply and not enough SATA connectors to plug into all your hard drives/optical drives. p.s. I was dismayed that I was notified that delivery could take 6-8 weeks or something crazy like that, but it actually arrived in about a week which was fine. It's shipped from Hong Kong though, so you never know.

I just purchased a new high end computer that has tons of legacy support: PCI/COM/Parallel printer connector and an abundance of older legacy power connectors. I had my doubts using this molex to SATA converter but it is currently power up a 5 terabyte HD without a problem. Which brings up another subject, Win 10 is limited to 2.2 TB max for MBR support, so the drive was formatted for use with GTP, but that is another subject. Funny to see MBR being outpaced by the vast availability of large hard drives, it brings me back to the bad old days of extended/expanded memory schemes. Just realized, MBR is now a legacy platform. Ah, memory lane. Anyway, this connector works fine.

I'm sure you're wondering about the quality, and power of this Molex to SATA power adapter. Why else would you be reading a review for a Molex SATA Power Adapter. I can describe the power, and quality of this adapter as excellent. If I were to build a robot, and send it back in time to Kill John Conner, I would certainly use lots of these things. If I were to attach an unlicensed particle accelerator to my back, I would use like two of these things. These are great power adapters, and I am not padding out this review at all. So if you have to go back to the 1800's and turn a locomotive into a time machine... I would highly reccomend buying some of these Molex SATA Power adapters.

I got this nice piece of cheap SATA power adapter to use for a CD drive for my new build. It was cheap and the shipping was not the usual 2 months from some Eastern country like Hong Kong, so, I ordered it. It came in on time and it was in great shape. Upon putting it into my Molex PSU cables, I stumbled upon some SATA power cables already included in my PSU. Isn't that funny! I didn't even need it! lolz. So, I thought since I bought it I might as well use the little thing. It works perfect so far and I see no problems with it. Other then my own stupidity..... Great buy!!!

It was the right connection for an older computer

The price on this adapter was so low, that I was prepared for the worst, but it turns out to be a decent quality product and works perfectly in my system. I like the fact that the wires are a bit longer (around 8") than some adapters which makes it more useful in a crowded PC cabinet. Only negative is that the pins in the Molex connector end are a bit loose, but that hasn't affected its performance so far.

The item arrived quickly enough, and it was packaged well enough to prevent damage. An electrical connector either makes the connections or not. I cannot say it did so excellently or poorly. What I could say is too bad the industry generates so many different types of plugs and receptacles! As for the durability of the connector, as an advanced senior I suppose it will outlast me :)

My newer mini-ATX Mobo only had 1-SATA powered adapter and 3 Molex style. I needed to add a second HD for capacity. Pretty much the only choice is to go with a SATA drive which will require an adapter for power. This adapter does exactly what its supposed to converts Molex to SATA. I bought two to have one as an extra. They are well built and sturdy enough to pull on/off as needed. Ends fits snugly on the drive and power source. Didn't need more then the 6 inches.
