Considering that Skiajati is made out of Umbra's flesh, it concerns me that Saryn has it.
There isn't a large amount of katana like weapons in Warframe, so I used the ones I was most familiar with. (I'm using this as an excuse because I had no idea it was made from his flesh) Was this stated during the Sacrifice quest?

Alright so a few days ago I made a Saryn Prime. And so far she's stolen my heart with her toxicity.

i want to know what the best weapons are to maximize her potential, as well as being thematically appealing. So far I'm using the Torid as my primary, wondering if I should use the Embolist or the Acrid as my secondary and not really sure about my melee (patiently waiting for Lesion).

There is no best. Most AoE or high status weapons will do the job.

Hikou prime, Staticor, Zhuge, Lanka, Torid, Ignis Dual Toxocyst, Strun Wraith. Your choice.

Personal favorites are Sancti Tigris for obvious reasons, Spira Prime for obvious reasons, and either Destreza or Dual Kamas Prime.

Hikou prime with Concealed explosives. The fire-rate on it will garuntee the fastest (to my knowledge) popping and re-stacking of spores everywhere in a range-spore type build. Itl give you consistent spread, and repop them constantly for a great AoE, as of right now its the main thing people seem to find works.

Theres some other good tech involving high dmg toxin proccing, with like a Gas lanka. Kinda clumsy, you gada start on a non-armored target with high health, the weapon has to proc gas an not anything else, sometimes it doesnt spread right cuz idk. More often then not if it does work, it kills everything immediately and stops spreading b4 new enemies spawn in within range.

Beyond that, just rock w/e u want/ would normally bring. Armor is the bane of toxin procs so, corrosive is, as always super important. Viral and toxin procs wont mean a damn thing at higher levels (like sortie, or hour long survival stuff. regular missions are fine) so a tysis is a fine choice for that purpose.

Thanks for the input! So far I have my Torid for locking down choke points and just finished my embolist (with ruinous extension) which I found to be amazingly effective in conjunction with her spores. Plus the syndicate mod with splashes everything with viral If they don't die by the proc they'll die by the miasma I release soon after. I kind of want Lesion and mod it for high slash and corrosive to deal with some of the heavier units. Unfortunately as a console player I'm still waiting. Luckily the update is in cert, so won't have to wait much longer.

Second the HikouP with Concealed Explosives. It works, which is all it needs to do.

I've long thought of Saryn as a shotgun kinda girl, so I tend to run the Strun Wraith and Sancti Tigress, depending on my mood.

Melee is usually Dual Kamas Prime, but mostly just because it's a prime weapon.

I personaly use the jat kittag with shattering storm because of it's Aoe,so it's both fun and effective

Get crushing ruin and ascend to god-hood.

I tried Lanka/Ignis/Torid/Acrid and dont like them that much, but i seem to have found a Cannon which seems bad at first but when you pump a bit with it the real potential starts to shine:

Dual Toxocyst with Gas/Electro - When it awakens you get a close to 100% Status Armor Shredding Gas proccing .. Ehm .. Thing

As Sniper i use the Lex P with Gas but that might not be the best(0Forma, 6/8Slots used and no Idea from that, but it kills)

Primary: ID go with Sancti Tigris because my absolute favorite but not so good for Gas spreading(Didn't Test much tho but it totally destroys), that and the Ogris with Gas because much lulz, very spread, such Boom

Melee + Toxic Lash: Jat Kitty, Red Critty, Blast Kitty, Scindo P with Tempo, Red Crit Atterax for 12x Critmulti Roomclearservice, maybe the Scoliac(Building ATM)

As said the Lanka/Ignis/Torid/Acrid works lots of people too, maybe you should try that too

Personally, I like to run either the Kohm or quanta(vandel). Both are good for status chance and popping spores, and can handle late game.

For secondary, I use vaykor merlock for the armor/health buff.

I don't use toxic lash so my melee is just for show. I normally run anku or mire.

So, been playing Saryn almost exclusively since I started Warframe a few months ago, and was constantly looking for good weapons for her. The Hikou Prime/Concealed Explosives with gas damage is just amazing for mid level content. I used it for almost everything for a long while, but found the whole blowing-myself-up-while-spreading-spores to be bit of an annoyance. Now I realize that with smarter gameplay this is avoidable, but with how I tend to play (IE get up in the mix, do damage, and dip out) this got me killed a LOT. I have recently for the Staticor Triple Combo to be a suitable alternative to higher end play as when all the damage tends to fall off, the CC from this setup and ALL the procs of statuses more than helps. For my melee I tend to use Orthos Prime for maximum sweep and clear, Mire for lower level stuff (specced for full Toxin damage and the Syndicate mod for energy regen) or Broken War with corrosive for shredding though the Void at high speed. Primaries have always been my sticking point. While full status gas bursts are great for spore spreading, I find just having a high burst primary works too well for taking down REALLY hard targets. Although, the Ignis and the Torid are GREAT for sweep and clear spore spreading of the masses, that is mostly up to you and what mission you may be running at the time.
