OVERVIEW Man, Skyrim's dialogue can be pretty boring. It's understandable why they had to make it such- a roleplaying game, even with an unvoiced player, can be difficult to properly represent all character types and statuses. While it's passable, I think everyone can agree mods such as Khajiitspeak and the like make playing Skyrim much, much more enjoyable. Nothing is as great as being surprised by a funny line or some well written quip from your character to make them feel great and awesome, as if they have a personality of their own. I decided to undertake the staggering quest of rewriting an entire playthough's worth of dialogue while working on my larger project of the Skyrim Re-nordification Project in this pursuit. I present to you: The Sardonic and Uncaring Dunmer dialogue overhaul! VERY IMPORTANT: I cannot run Special Edition. My testing of the port from LE to SE is minimal as I couldn't muster more than 15 FPS, so unlike my LE variant of this mod, I cannot offer quick support or feedback on problems and have no idea how this will exactly operate with Creation Club content or AE or any of that crap, I don't know anything about it. As such, I'll do everything I can to help, but I cannot promise that I'll actually be able to do anything about problems beyond the literal dialogue. Character Overview You are a dunmer of the 4th Era. The great Houses have shattered; the Living Gods vanishing as the 3rd Era closed, and the march of the Argonians in the south slaughtering many dunmer and taking a large portion of your homeland. To top it all off, Vivec was destroyed by Baar Dau, and the following Red Year obliterated the sacred lands of Vvardenfell. To be dunmer in such times is to know sorrow- to know anguish- but most of all, to know hate and resentment. Once a proud and powerful people not even Tiber Septim himself would challenge lightly in battle, your people know are given aid by the Nords, your ancient enemies, who do so in pity. A product of this environment is you- a Dunmer with little to care for and even less so to expect of the world. Your sardonic and mean spirited humor serves you well- you feel superior, especially in a land filled with those as simple as the nords, but your hate and anger often shine through your cutting jests and reveal the pain of your people below the ashen surface of your dunmer skin. Your destiny calls to you, however- the land of Skyrim if rife of war and death, and where such things exist... there is profit and personal gain to be made. The mod strikes a balance between dark and humorous, which is my intention. If it was too jokey it could come off like a Fallout 4 Sarcastic run, and if it was too dour / serious, it could be boring or unfun, so I tried to get a good middle ground where things are humorous consistently- even though that isn't the intent of the player character in his/her tone. It often is playing up the joke of the dull, simple people of Skyrim and a sardonic, Morrowind-bred Dunmer adventuring across such a land whilest clearly coming to terms with the anger and resentment of what's happened to the dunmer people. Bugs/Errors While the mod (as far as I've tested, but as you all know, Skyrim is a colossal game) is fully functional and operates well, there are a few bugs to keep in mind. - There MAY be one or two instances when I first began the mod where I refer to the player character as "he", though I'm not certain of it as literally thousands of lines have been rewritten. If you find them, just tell me the exact one and I'll remove it. - Sometimes, the dialogue may not fit properly with what's happening because often times vanilla's dialogue is so simple it's difficult to extrapolate on what was said. If you see these, treat them like bugs and report them so I can fix them. (Example being that the dialogue line said doesn't fit the situation or seems awkward, it happens because I wasn't actually seeing the situation, just a bunch of dialogue - Sadly, I have yet to get to Dragonborn DLC. Obviously I intend to, as that is a dunmer focused DLC, so holding off on that portion of the playthrough until I finish would be wise, but it still works. Just vanilla dialogue. - Due to functional bugs with Skyrim's engine, I had to include a dialogue box modification file. It can be tweaked to your desire but the default is vanilla looking dialogue. Unfortunately, this is essential, as without it, you'll get at best like 2 dialogue options per conversation due to the much longer nature of the lines now. Until some releases some SKSE script fix for dialogue option limitations, this is the only way to do it, but it's very malleable and can be made to function any way you need it to. Built in Mod Support In the optional files you'll notice that I've posted support for a few mods. Note, however, I can't be certain they'll work exactly as they were made for the LE Edition of the game and simply ported- and many of those mods are somewhat expanded or different since their last LE release. With this in mind I cannot offer 'true' support on them as I can't even actually run Special Edition, so 'here be dragons' warning is sent out for that. Future Plans Obviously, I have more plans for the mod. They follow as: - Updating some of the LARPier options. This mod has been years in the making and some of the earliest parts I feel in hindsight were too long winded or didn't congeal enough and I have updated nearly all of it as my skill in writing has improved, but this is over 14,000 lines of dialogue we're talking about, so missing them is possible. I hope to eventually screen all of it but I didn't notice anything in a recent full 100% playthrough. - Obviously, the Dragonborn DLC. I've interwoven more personal relationship stuff with Herma Mora himself on top of the blatant Morrowind-proximity and nature of the DLC so that's been one of the most fun things to write, but it has a toooon of dialogue so I'm still working through all of it. - More quest mods. If people have recommendations, fire them off at me and I'll start making patches, writing this was more fun than it was tedious as I have sort of really grown to appreciate the 'character' the Dragonborn becomes with this mod. - Compatibility for my upcoming quest mods. This is last on the list because that's several hurdles away (primarily not being able to even run Special Edition.) Credits - Bethesda for the Game itself - The World of Elder Scrolls for being awesome - Matthew Harper for Khajiitspeak, the mod that inspired me and the mod I used for reference on how to do this Closing Words This mod may not be for everyone. While I worked hard to make it as original and fun as possible, some may find it restrictive in roleplay, and that's entirely okay. Not all mods are meant for everyone. My only hope is that those who do enjoy it enjoy it a lot, and I hope it makes their stay in the epic world of Elder Scrolls more fun and engaging as it has for me. If you enjoy, be sure to tell me, as that's my favorite part of Modmaking.

A simple mod that redoes all the Dialogue in (currently) both Vanilla Skyrim and Dawnguard to befit that of a Sardonic, mean spirited, humorous, and uncaring Dunmer of the 4th Era. Expect lots of dunmeri euphemisms and general fun / roleplay.

“Blessed
is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand
in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.” (Psalm 1:1 NIV)
I typically
get up early, anywhere from 3 to 6 AM and grab a cup of coffee to wake myself
up. Then I find my favorite corner of the sofa, flip through YouTube channels to locate the perfect worship
music, snuggle up with a blanket and my Bible and spend the morning talking to
the Lord. On this particular morning, the
word’ “sardonic” was coming up in my spirit. That was a new word to me, so I
asked the Lord what it meant. Then I heard, “sardonic laughter” and the Lord spoke
to me, “There is sardonic laughter coming from the demonic realm, and it is spilling over into the earth
realm.”
Like most
of you in this hi-tech age, rather than turn to a dictionary I googled the word
“sardonic” and learned that it means: bitter, scornful, mocking, or a person exhibiting
bitterness, scorn or mockery. I wondered if the Lord was referring to the mockery broadcast across our nation through news
outlets toward the President and other conservatives who are in the spotlight. While this is true and evidence of demonic mockery
spilling into the earth, I realized the Lord was speaking to me about more than
just fake news. I felt Him revealing something to
many of the people we minister to in the marketplace.
The Lord continued to speak to my spirit concerning the voices that divert
us from our callings, “Do not be dismayed or controlled by their mockery. This is meant to keep you from your assigned
tasks. I am with you to do things differently than the world, and it will attract scorn from many in the
church and the secular world. Stay true to your calling, and you will be able to reach more people and
set them free from the demonic laughter that has held them captive.”
“I am already launching many into the great advancements they are marked for, but they will only go as far as
they are willing to disengage from their need for approval or acceptance coming
from the world and some churches. You are blazing a trail that will lead people
to great advancements, new inventions, and
achievements that I am releasing into the world now. These are mantles that
must be picked up and worn without fear or shame. The enemy will try to put
both fear and shame on my people by mocking and tormenting them. Do not listen
or bow to the accusations.”
In my role as a professional intercessor, I pray with many people in the marketplace. I have had the privilege of praying for businesses that are going through incredibly challenging times. In one situation our client hired a manager to oversee the business side of her practice so she could concentrate on her patients. But the manager turned out to be corrupt, and he schemed and diverted money into his own pockets. Our client was aware that something wasn’t right at the office and asked us to pray. We prayed that the Lord would reveal hidden things, and we watched in amazement as He exposed the depth of the corruption. Our client fired the dishonest manager, and lawyers stepped in to deal with the mess he left behind. Unpaid bills piled up, and banks called in their loans. In the resulting domino effect, fraudulent charges were filed against our client and news outlets published the accusations without further investigation. The court of public opinion jumped in treating her as guilty before being tried. Mockery spewed out like venom, but we interceded and believed that the Lord would protect and deliver her, and He did! One charge was dropped, and she was acquitted of the second charge. She refused to give up on her dreams, and the Lord rescued her.
“Because heloves me,”
says the Lord , “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for
he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him, I will be with him in
trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.”
(Psalm 91:14-15 NIV)
Buckle Up!
I heard in my spirit, “Buckle up
and get ready to fly. Nothing will stop you as long as you keep your eyes on Me.
You will do impossible things if you refuse to look at the circumstances and
hold tight to Me. This is a time for
skill and advancement. I have given those with great skills and understanding
in their fields, great opportunities for advancement NOW!” The word “NOW” was strongly emphasized by the
Lord.
Then I had a vision of hands buckling up someone to the front of a rocket.
It wasn’t just one buckle around the waist or over the shoulders like a
seatbelt. I saw multiple belts being
buckled to keep the person secure for a very wild ride – kind of like the cartoon where Wile E Coyote straps
himself to a rocket so he can catch the roadrunner. That’s a little over
the top, but you get the picture.
The
thought occurred to me, what if our client had listened to the demonic lies and
given up. I believe she would have lost her business and her license to
practice medicine. Mocking spirits will
make fun of our God-given identity and purpose in life to divert and distract
us from our calling. But she believed the
Lord called her to do something extraordinary and she picked up the mantle He
was offering her. Her desire to help underprivileged
children receive the care they need is still growing in her heart, and she is pursuing her dream.
I
believe this word is also for those who pray for the President and the
righteous men and women in the political arena who are being mocked and scorned daily. Christians in the marketplace
who stand for their faith and practice righteousness are also under the
relentless firepower of the enemy trying to scorn
people to shame. It’s critical that we pray
for them but also help and encourage them, so they don’t get discouraged and
give up.
Dear
Lord, Silence the accuser and deliver your sons and daughters from the mocking
words and accusations coming from the enemy’s camp. Fill them with courage so
they will not back down, give up or bow to the enemy’s tactics. Surround them with wise counsel, praying
saints and true friends to walk with them
through this valley. I declare that they are safe and off the enemy’s radar and
everyone they are connected to is under Your
protective covering. I place a demand on every place where the enemy’s
destructive force has left its mark to now become the bedding soil for double
favor and blessing to be multiplied back
to them. I pray that they receive all the benefits,
favor, grace and honor and every good thing that has been stored up for them to
advance their cause. I call the north, south, east and west to give up every
resource necessary for them to prosper and succeed in their God-given destiny. In the all-powerful name of
Jesus our Lord, AMEN!

I am out of loop. What happened this time?
Adam did a quickie on movies he saw at a festival. He included everything he saw at the festival, including movies he didn't finish. He did "review" what he saw (didn't say the movie was a 6/10 but what he saw of the movie was 6/10 but did mention that his thoughts are incomplete (because he didn't finish the movie). It's worth noting it was just a quickie collection so he only talked about the movies for 1-2 min each.
Some people didn't like him "reviewing", even in his quickie style, movies he didn't finish.
He made a comment on YT, and tweeted it. I posted it on the yms subreddit . It got a lot of attention (albeit a bunch of the Twitter attention is Adam retweeting it instigating people critical of his decision.
Adam later tried to debate someone who opposed him to get their side but couldn't find someone so talked to Destiny about it. He decided the best option was to not harp on movies he saw and change the title to 'Review and Impressions'. But he still got enough detractors on his latest Oscars video so he decided to never talk about movies he didn't finish.
Imo a big nontroversy, even as someone who mostly agreed with Adam.
People are mad at yms because he doesn't finish watching every movie
Destiny is an antagonistic prick. Debate culture shit is so embarrassing
I really wish Adam wouldn't interact with him or any of these other debate people, I'm aware it's not the first time he's gone on his stream
I would like to see them on the podcast, but I don't think we will; they're way too controversial and probably won't set will with some of the fans.
Vaush is too controversial. I mean have you seen their video on Minecraft wtf
I didn't watch the video, but Destiny got destroyed in this debate.
