Boston 25 News anchor Sara Underwood, a fixture in the Boston TV news market for more than 20 years, is signing off for now.
Underwood announced on Thursday that she will step away from her full-time role as anchor of the Boston25 Morning Show from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. in order to spend more time with her family. Her last day will be Friday, Aug. 27.
“After months of thoughtful conversations with my family and very dear friends and station management, I have decided to make the tough decision to step away from this role as morning anchor, the full-time role here,” Underwood told co-anchor Gene Lavanchy.
Underwood, who is married and has two daughters with Boston sports radio host Mike Felger, said that with the couple’s daughter Emma heading to college next year, she wanted to be available to her night and day to answer the “tough questions.”
“This is something that I feel that I need to do for my kids, and I want to do,” Underwood said. “I’m so excited and I feel so lucky that I’m able to make this choice. But it will be very difficult.”
Underwood also stated that she will still work with the station on a fill-in capacity as needed.
A Boston 25 spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Underwood first joined Boston 25 News in 2008 and has worked in the Boston market since 2000, previously at CBS affiliate WBZ-TV. Prior to arriving in Boston, she also worked at stations in Washington, D.C., and Dayton, Ohio. A native of Palo Alto, Calif., and graduate of UCLA, Underwood started her broadcasting career at KIEM-TV in Eureka, Calif.
An emotional Underwood thanked viewers and her coworkers, saying she was “so grateful” for her time at the station as employees behind the camera applauded.
“I love you all so much and I’ve loved my time here,” Underwood said. “I’m grateful for you, and I’m so excited — and my family is so excited — for this next chapter. […] I don’t take it for granted that I get to make this choice.”

Sara Jean Underwood had plastic surgery to get a better look. But it didn’t work well. If you check the pictures of her before and after, you can see that there is some changes in her face. Her face look like she’s wearing a thin plastic mask.

Sara Jean Underwood was chosen to be Playboy's Playmate of the Year 2007, and I photographed her at the annual Glamourcon Convention, which took place this year at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport, in Los Angeles, California.
Sara Jean Underwood first appeared on the October 2005 cover of Playboy magazine wearing nothing but body paint highlighting the Girls of the Pac 10 pictorial. Sara Jean returned as the July 2006 Playmate of the Month and was recently named Playboy's Playmate of the Year for 2007.

Sara Jean Underwood is hot American glamour model and actress with perfect measurements. She has slim petite body with toned flat stomach. Underwood wears currently 32C bra size and has breast implants . Before plastic surgery , her bust was 32B size. It is obvious, thats Sara takes really good care of her figure. Check also measurements of other playmates , including Anna Nicole Smith and Jenny McCarthy .

Sara was born March 26, 1984 in Portland, Oregon. Before becoming a glamour model, she worked at Hooters . Her modeling career started in 2005, when she appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine . Young Sara was naked, covered only in body painting and still had her natural firm B cups. Surprisingly, she later decided for breast enlargement surgery although her bust was very attractive before and she went only one cup size up to C’s.

We are adding new celebrities regularly , their measurements, bra sizes, weight losses. Our goal is to build the largest database on the internet. Kind of like Wikipedia in our own field.

Underwood announced that she will be stepping away from her anchor position to spend more time with her family.
Sara Underwood is a marquee name in the Boston TV news scene for more than 20 years. However, the Boston 25 News anchor plans to step away from the desk for now.
“After months of thoughtful conversations with my family and very dear friends and station management, I have decided to make the tough decision to step away from this role as morning anchor, the full-time role here,” Underwood said.
Underwood announced her decision to part from her role as Boston25 Morning Show’s anchor on Thursday’s edition of the show as she wants to spend more time with her family. Her final day will be next Friday, August 27th.
Underwood added that her daughter is heading to college next year, so it’s a crucial part of her child’s life, and she wants to be accessible for her night and day to answer the “tough questions.”
“This is something that I feel that I need to do for my kids, and I want to do,” Underwood said. “I’m so excited, and I feel so lucky that I’m able to make this choice. But it will be very difficult.”

The Daily Beast’s newsletter the “Confider,” which Barrett News Media obtained, reports that Licht is shifting his attention to the morning show, “New Day,”
CNN CEO Chris Licht shocked the news media world by canceling “Reliable Sources” and ousting its host Brian Stelter. However, he isn’t done molding the network’s programming.
The Daily Beast’s newsletter the “Confider,” which Barrett News Media obtained, reports that Licht is shifting his attention to the morning show, “New Day,” as the next show that could get axed.
“Licht will next turn his attention to “blowing up” CNN’s ratings-challenged morning show New Day , having brought on his old buddy Ryan Kadro from CBS to help rework it,” the newsletter said.
“Nevertheless, staffers fear further cutbacks and more layoffs as Licht, who has told friends he speaks to David Zaslav on a daily basis, seemingly carries out the Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and his board’s wishes to make CNN less controversial and, in the words of several current and former CNN staffers, “more vanilla.”
NPR’s Eric Deggans shared concerns about CNN’s more apolitical direction on the final episode of “Reliable Sources” following the cancellation of the Sunday show.
“I hope that what we’re not going to see CNN do is institute some sort of false equivalence, where the extremism of one party is balanced with the regular dysfunction of another party,” Deggans said.
“We need to be free to call out when someone breaks the law, when someone breaks norms, when someone introduces prejudice and stereotypes into the public debate.”

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the comments in question came during a WSB-TV newscast Sunday.
Atlanta political analyst Bill Crane was fired Monday following alleged derogatory comments about former President Donald Trump.  According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , the comments in question came during a WSB-TV newscast Sunday.
Crane appeared on “Action News” to discuss the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office investigation into Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia.
Crane told viewers that part of the Democratic strategy is to keep Trump’s fantasy of a stolen election in play to increase Democrat voter turnout. He then referred to Trump as the “orange-faced boogeyman.”
WSB-TV General Manager Ray Carter released a statement acknowledging that Crane’s remarks were “not aligned with our commitment for fair and unbiased reporting and analysis.”
“The Orange Face comment was found to be extremely offensive by some WSB-TV viewers. Calls followed to the switchboard, as well as social media posts, texts, and emails,” said Crane.
In a Facebook post , he noted that he’s been analyzing politics for more than two decades.
“The reason I have been able to do this for 22 years in a top 10 media market is that I call the hard balls and strikes on either side,” remarked Crane.
“As a result, we’re ending our relationship with Mr. Crane, effective immediately. We value the trust we’ve fostered for decades with our viewers, and we continue working hard to earn and maintain that trust,” Carter added.

Gabbard hosted the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show, and Hasan discussed the former politician’s arrival on Fox News on his Friday show.
Tulsi Gabbard was a long-shot candidate during the Democratic presidential primaries leading up to the 2020 election. Two years later, she has become a regular on Fox News programming.
Furthermore, Gabbard hosted one of the popular timeslots on the network filling in for Tucker Carlson on his “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show. Mehdi Hasan discussed the former politician’s arrival on Fox News on his Friday show.
Hasan added that Gabbard isn’t on Fox News to push progressive messages to a largely conservative audience, considering she was the vice chair of the Democratic National Committee and endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020 .
“So what is a woman who was holding forth on the Democratic presidential debate stage two years ago doing anchoring Fox’s hour of hate?” Hasan asked.
“Maybe she was using the incredible platform given to her by Fox to reach right-wing viewers with progressive messaging about Medicare for all, about a Green New Deal, or making corporations pay their fair share of taxes. Sadly not.”
Why Tulsi Gabbard is Fox News' newest media darling. https://t.co/9BRLKnRZPU pic.twitter.com/aAKBTibtJJ
For MSNBC columnist Molly Jong-Fast Gabbard is a powerful symbol for conservatives . The former Democratic House member from Hawaii is the liberal who came to her senses and walked away.
