Dr. Oz’s first brave guest, Yvette, says her most mortifying moment happened one night while on her way home. She tells Dr. Oz that she suddenly had to pee really badly so as she got closer to home she began to speed up, but was then stopped by the police. She begged them to allow her to go, but they refused and that’s when she wet herself right there in her car with the police officer standing nearby. Ultimately, he let her go without giving her a ticket, but her embarrassment will probably live on for a very long time.
Dr Lauren Streicher says if you get sand in your vagina it is important to rinse out right away in order to prevent an infection.
Dr. Oz says it can actually cause health problems if you hold in your urine for too long, so it is important to train your bladder and make regular bathroom visits to prevent an emergency situation.
Tavia is Dr. Oz’s next guest with an embarrassing story to tell. She says that she and her partner were on a romantic trip when they decided to throw caution to the wind and make love on a sandy beach, but then Tavia suddenly found herself in excruciating pain when she realized there was sand in her vagina.
She tells Dr. Oz that the pain lasted for about three days, but she was way too embarrassed to call her doctor about the problem. Dr. Lauren Streicher assures Tavia that gynecologists often rinse unusual things from a woman’s lower area, so sand would not be all that different.
Dr. Oz says he was surprised by the number of women who wrote in with very similar stories to Tavia’s, so Dr. Streicher explained what a woman should do if something like this ever happens to her. She says you need to immediately rinse with a Betadine Douche in order to cleanse and prevent bacteria from causing an infection. She added that you need to continue rinsing with water until all the sand is removed.
The final case in the shame files involved a woman named Julianna who shared her very embarrassing story. Julianna says she was out to dinner with a few new co-workers when she thought she felt a burp coming on, but she actually ended up throwing up a little in her mouth. Too embarrassed to excuse herself from the table, she just swallowed it and carried on with the dinner. Dr. Oz says the official name for this is called a “vurp” and is more common than you might think.
Dr. Oz says his first piece of advice is to never swallow a vurp because it contains a lot of acid and could cause damage to your esophagus. He also recommends avoiding spicy foods, chocolate, and alcohol because they are all big culprits.

How did it feel? How were you able to clean yourself? I ask this for a simple fact. Here in the army, its used as an insult to infer weakness or lack heart. Common examples include: "hey bitch do you have sand in your snatch or something?" or "Private who? Sandy? Sandy, Vagina?" or my favourite: Sandvaginitis
Well that got really sexist, really quickly.
Perhaps, but the majority demographic of the Army is historically male. As such, sayings like this evolve.

It's called a "screaming seagull"... Have sex on the beach, pull out, dip it in the sand.. Reinsert. Hurts like a motherfucker and could lead to some serious damage including infection and scaring.
Yeah, beach. It's really not that irritating. Take a shower and it's all good.
They still say that? Geez. They need new material.
In fairness they should stop invading desert countries. Maybe if they invaded a jungle country again they would come up with some new material.

We went to the beach when I was a little girl. I sat and let the tide push me up the beach as it came in. When we went back to the condo there were sand and sea shells everywhere. My mom gave me a good bath and no one thought anything of it.
In high school I was messing around with a guy. Things were getting pretty serious with his hands down my pants. He was exploring my pink cave when he touched something hard. I could feel it moving around and it kind of hurt. With a little curiosity and some digging we finally managed to pull the hard thing out. It was a small pearl.
The only explanation is that the sand from the beach irritated my vagina walls and that is how it protected itself. Can you imagine living with sand in your vagina for most of your life? I always wondered why people call a vagina a "clam" and now I know.

The moment you see a blister or sore on the vagina, you panic and you tend to start looking out for ways to get it treated. But, first you need to know why did it occur and how can you prevent it in the future. In this article, we will explain what is a vaginal blister, its causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.
Most often when the vaginal blisters erupt it may be itchy, painful, tender or have a discharge. They occur on their own and resolve on their own, however, they do not go away quickly if it's severe.
It is a blister that occurs at the entrance of the vagina or on the outer lips of the vagina. It may also appear on the clitoris, so basically anywhere on the female genitals. These blisters or sores are clear and full of fluid, they may appear as one or in clusters. Most women mistake these vaginal sores to be acne as they cause redness and itchiness.
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are the most common cause of vaginal sores and blisters spread through vaginal, anal and oral sex. It can also spread through sex toys [1] , [2] , [3] .
The most common types of STIs that cause genital sores or blisters are the following:
To know the cause of vaginal blisters a physical examination needs to be done. The doctor will conduct a pelvic exam and ask about your medical history and he/she may order you to take blood or a swab from the affected area to learn the cause of the sores. Once the cause is known, your doctor will inform you what kind of treatment will help you.
The treatment for vaginal blisters depends on the cause of it. Some blisters or sores may go away on their own and if not treatment is required with the help of medications.
Oral and topical medicines such as antibiotics, antiviral medicines, pain relievers, corticosteroids, and hydrocortisone can help cure these genital blisters and bring relief. STIs are generally treated with antiviral medicines and antibiotics [12] .
The doctor will guide you as to how to clean your sore and apply medicines until it heals and will advise you to avoid irritants such as douches and harsh soaps. Also one needs to wear the right undergarments that don't cause itchiness and tight-fitting clothes should be avoided.
To prevent STIs from spreading, practising safe sex using condoms is necessary. If your partner has been diagnosed with an STI, talk to your partner about getting it tested and treated to avoid infection and from further spreading the disease to you.
However, vaginal sores occurring due to allergies or other skin conditions can't be prevented. Cysts and ingrown hairs can be reduced if the vaginal area is washed with lukewarm water and you should avoid any kind of irritants.
