The 870 QVO is Samsung's latest 2nd gen . QLC SSD and the largest of its kind that provides up to 8TB of storage . Powered by Samsung's V-NAND, Samsung 870 QVO is terabyte capacity SSD for improving everyday computing with Samsung's 4-bit MLC NAND flash technology .
Samsung QLC SSDs . Samsung has increased the density of its 3D V-NAND five years ago and its previous-gen V4 flash was 64 layers . But now, Samsung plans to go on to the 90 layers with V5 . Besides the layer increasing, there is another important improvement of the V5 90 layer NAND SSD . The V5 QLC SSD will come in a 1TB SSD and its density will increase 33% than TLC .

Samsung uvádí, že toto QLC SSD bude konstruováno z 64vrstvých čipů (jde o V-NAND čtvrté generace) o kapacitě 1 Tb (128 GB) na jeden křemík . O těch jsme tu nedávno měli zmínku, ale nečekali jsme, že by se takto rychle dostal do spotřebitelských SSD . Nicméně úložiště, o kterých je zde řeč, nebudou lowendová ve smyslu nízké kapacity, ta bude naopak jak už bylo řečeno vysoká a v discích se bude nacházet 8, 16 nebo až 32 (4TB model) čipů NAND .
