SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A 22-year-old Upstate University Hospital employee was found dead just outside the employee parking garage this weekend, according to a spokesman for the hospital.
University police have determined the death was an apparent suicide, Darryl Geddes, an Upstate spokesman, said Thursday.
At approximately 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, New York State University Police responded to a call about a woman on the ground near the intersection of Harrison and Almond streets, the spokesman said.
Officers called for an American Medical Response ambulance when they found the woman, the spokesman said. The woman was pronounced dead at 12:54 p.m., the spokesman said.
Her car was found on the top floor of the garage, he said.
She was identified with personal items found in her car, the spokesman said.
