Shahira Knight is an American economist and lobbyist. Knight served as director of legislative affairs for President Donald Trump from July 2018 to May 2019, and also acted as his economic policy advisor. [2] [3] [4] During her tenure in the White House Office , she played a critical role in passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 . [5] [6]

Knight graduated from the University of Virginia and has an M.A. in economics from George Mason University . She worked on the House Ways and Means Committee and the Joint Economic Committee , including as a senior adviser to Chairman Bill Thomas . She then worked as a lobbyist for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association before becoming Vice President of Public Affairs and Policy at Fidelity Investments . [7]

After the leaving the White House in summer of 2019, she joined Deloitte as Deputy Managing Principal of Policy and Government Relations, and became a 2020 Winter Fellow at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics . [8]

sorry for millions posting but if 'trillion legions of the damned' refers to the fans then putting ' and william' in That line instead of the next (where it should go if it's a smiths reference ) is just... a choice
i feel like this is implying william meaning frank (known fan) which yea crazy but i beleive in the context of the song and reference gerard is “william”. i dont think he’s addressing himself but i dont think the use of william in the song is addressing anyone i think it was just thrown in that line followed by “i was really me it was really you” to serve as a william it was really nothing reference. and i dont think the william is REALLY misplaced, sometimes you have to move the words around to make it work
I don’t know The Smith’s song it supposedly references. So take this with a grain of salt, but considering Mikey features on that song, I think ‘William’ refers to him.
My interpretation then gets kinda sad. Because at the end it would imply that Gerard is asking Mikey to help save his life- ‘Can I be your number one?”
By referencing that Gerard as being the lead singer of MCR has saved millions or legions of fans lives.- “I think I’m done a million reasons”
For me that verse/line about “they will believe anything, you make up villains” and those are “trillions of legions of the damned” is about how the band as so the fans as well, were demonised.
