A cage with one open side was strapped against a victim’s body, and filled with large rodents. A heating element would be set against one side of the cage and rodent instincts would kick into action. The Pear of Anguish - brutal instrument used to torture women who performed abortions, liars, blasphemers & homosexuals. The impalement device: A sharp pole with a strong wooden base can serve as the most torturous device . First the victim is stripped naked and then oil is poured into his anus or into the vagina . Then he is made to sit on the pole from the top. As time goes by, the victim slowly starts sliding down due to gravity and his own struggling movement. Breast Ripper- it was used red-hot to mark the breast of unmarried mothers. It was also used on women convicted of heresy, blasphemy, adultery, self-induced abortion, erotic white magic and any other crime.The claws were used, either cold or heated, on a female’s exposed breasts – rendering them into bloody pulps. This is a 19th century anti-masturbation device. Looks comfy. The rare 19th century item is made of copper and was designed to be worn by boys so they could not commit the ‘sin’. Attached to a belt it would have encased the genitalia. The bizarre antique dates back to around 1880 and was used in Catholic France.
Pressing. Basically the use of pressure as a torture device meant the applying of weight. Most common was to place a board over a secured victim’s chest. Then adding weights of some fashion to it more and more until the victim confessed or suffocated due to the amount of weight upon his chest and lungs. Other variations have victims being slowly pinned and crushed by large boulders.
Water Torture. This method involved forcing the none-too thirsty individual to swallow large amounts of water via a funnel, with the bloated body then beaten repeatedly with heavy blows.
