SWA, The New Generation Of Wrestling In Spain

For months, as most of you know, I have been traveling to England to learn to practice one of my passions, wrestling. During all this time since August, I have been aware of the camps organized by the NWA UK Hammerlock in order to continue learning and developing as a fighter.

In October I had the opportunity to participate in a Battle royal (modality in which between 20 and 30 fighters fight in an all against all being disqualified whoever leaves the ring above the 3rd rope, starting between the ropes 2 fighters and leaving one new every 2 minutes) and it was an amazing experience.

I was only about 4 minutes in the ring, but I felt totally fulfilled, I was very clear that it was something I wanted to do. It was then that I started to think about how I could do Wrestling in a more continuous way.

It was then that I conceived the idea of the SWA, the Super Wrestling Alliance, a new federation created in Spain to be able to carry out shows in our territory, and above all to help Iberian citizens to train and become wrestlers who participate in those shows.

That's the idea; the basic concept of SWA. we want to collaborate with foreign fighters and federations like the NWA UK or the NWA Ireland of course, but we also want to have our own fighters, and with that idea in mind we have decided to start our journey not with a show, but with a training course for everyone who is interested in this magnificent sport and spectacle.

Anyone over 12 years old can participate in this 3-day course taught by Andre Baker (retired NWA UK champion, current director of NWA UK and personal trainer of several international champions) and by Paul Tracey (current director of the NWA UK).

NWA Ireland and current champion of the NWA Commonwealth heavyweight champion) with a cost of €120 and in which a t-shirt will be given away courtesy of Solowrestling.

The course will take place in Segovia on April 7, 8, and 9, at the Victoria sports center, and at least 4 of those attending the course will be selected to participate in a tour of 5 shows that will take place this summer at different points from Spain.
