Jungle Cubs is an American animated series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation for ABC in 1996, serving as the prequel to the 1967 film The Jungle Book as it's set in the youth of the animal characters years before the events of the film. A critical success, the show ran for two seasons on ABC from 1996 to 1998 before its syndication in re-runs on the Disney Channel. The show was broadcast on Toon Disney, but was taken off the schedule in 2001. Re-runs aired on Disney Jr. in the US from 2012 to 2013. The show also aired in the United Kingdom on Disney Cinemagic and in Latin America. The show's theme song is a hip hop version of the song, "The Bare Necessities" performed by Lou Rawls. Jungle Cubs was animated by Walt Disney Television Animation (Australia) Pty. Ltd., Wang Film Productions Co., Ltd., Thai Wang Film Productions Co., Ltd., Toon City Animation, Inc., and Sunmin Image Pictures Co., Ltd., with Studio B Productions, as the animation pre-production studio of the series.

Carlo J. Caparas' Panday or simply Panday (transl. blacksmith) is a Philippine television drama fantasy series broadcast by ABS-CBN. Based on the fictional comics character of the same title, created by Carlo J. Caparas and illustrated by Steve Gan. Directed by Toto Natividad, it stars Jericho Rosales and Heart Evangelista. It aired on the network's Primetime Bida line up and worldwide on TFC from November 7, 2005 to May 26, 2006, replacing Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin and was replaced by Calla Lily.

Ang Panday (lit. 'The Blacksmith') is a 1980 Filipino action-fantasy film produced and directed by Fernando Poe Jr., who also stars as the titular character. It is based on the fictional comics character of the same name, created by Carlo J. Caparas and illustrated by Steve Gan. The film was followed by three sequels, which also featuring Poe as Flavio, namely Pagbabalik ng Panday (1981), Ang Panday: Ikatlong Yugto (1982) and Ang Panday IV: Ika-Apat Na Aklat (1984). All four films were shown at the Metro Manila Film Festival in their respective years. An animated TV series, dubbed as the first full-length Filipino animation series, was shown in RPN 9 during the mid-1980s. It was patterned after the storyline of the first movie.

His stories were first serialized in the comic series Ang Panday ("The Smith") in Pilipino Komiks during the late 1970s. The character, whose real name is Flavio, became a Philippine pop culture icon since it was adapted to film (Ang Panday) in 1980 with Fernando Poe Jr. portraying Flavio and Max Alvarado as his archenemy Lizardo. Carlo J. Caparas' Ang Panday (lit. 'The Blacksmith') is a 2017 Filipino superhero fantasy action film based on the eponymous comic book character created by Carlo J. Caparas along with his co-creator Steve Gan. Serving as the seventh installment of the Panday series, the film is co-written, directed and produced by Coco Martin, who also stars in the title role. The film serves as an official entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, and marks Martin's directorial debut under his real name, Rodel Nacianceno.[1] The film received mixed to positive reviews but it was box office success along with Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad and it was the first and only time to have 2 co-productions between Star Cinema and Viva Films movies released at the same time during MMFF.
