STALCRAFT: X

This year we turned 11. Let me spare you worn-out phrases like “It's a lot”... in fact, it was woefully inadequate to create everything we had planned. There is a whole generation that has grown up on our game, and we still haven't added that very endgame!

On days like this, you want to dispense with contrived pride or rattle and just say “Thank you”. Thank you, everyone supporting us. Everyone who plays, who argues, who waits for three-line patchnotes on WednesdaysWe see everyone, and appreciate you all far more than it may seem.

We are far from perfect as a team and as a game. Lots of mechanics get abandoned after release and wait for ages to be fixed, we have thousands of working processes problems, and total chaos in planning — these are not news for everyone who's been with us for long enough. And perhaps the opposite has become clear over the years — only a team like this could have such a game. STALCRAFT: X doesn't have a clear gameplay formula in its core; it is a direct reflection of our many years of travelling down the rake, often blindly. It's not a moulded product, it's a long-suffered, in some places crooked, but at the end, alive thing. And if anyone's ever gonna kill us, it will be ourselves.

Against all haters odds — that ain't gonna happen! We spent a huge amount of time on PvE mechanics this year, and they were difficult to say the least. But step by step, we are mastering this previously inaccessible area of content, and we are already seeing tangible progress. In August, the long-suffering Operations will start to come out — we will release a separate video about them later, in which we will ask very, very strongly: please don't inflate expectations. Unlike events, this is permanent content, and it's important to emphasize replayability rather than spectacle. And, as with any new activity, it is extremely important not to abandon everything immediately after release — we will continue to develop this area, add new dungeons, and improve existing ones.

And, of course, apart from Operations, we have a lot of stuff prepared for this year. There is a huge clan system update on the waywe did an article on it a while ago. We want to refresh some outdated activities like signals and caches as well, and bring back the old northern locations. In the fall, we plan to test a new format of life service. We hope it will breathe a little more life into the usual routine and brighten up the wait for new updates.

Most importantly, remember — we are alive people, not a soulless office. We read comments, fall in love with fan arts, we are getting emotional over flopped events, and celebrate with you when we do things just right. We are well aware of all the problems and try to solve them the best we can. There is always more work than hands. And even small fixes sometimes consume a lot of time. But we don't give up, because we see that someone needs all this. And that means that we need it too.

Happy Birthday, STALCRAFT which now has a X!

We truly appreciate and love all of you — even the meanest, the loudest, and those who never tire of flooding about skibidi toilets. Any emotion is important if it is genuine, and with our target audience, it can't be otherwise. There are a lot of bright moments ahead, and we are happy to live them together with you.
