Interim SAP S/4HANA Program Director (Freelance Contract - multi-year)
A global international organisation is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Program Director to lead a major multi-year ERP transformation programme. This is a high profile freelance assignment that will oversee the consolidation of multiple ERP environments into a unified SAP S/4HANA platform, driving business process harmonisation and enterprise-wide transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation roadmap, aligning programme delivery with business strategy.
* Establish governance frameworks and drive process standardisation across global functions.
* Manage a complex, multi-phase international ERP transformation programme, ensuring successful delivery, budget control, and stakeholder alignment.
* Provide strategic leadership on SAP architecture, integration, data migration, and solution design.
* Lead cross-functional teams of internal stakeholders, systems integrators, and consulting partners.
* Drive organisational change, business adoption, and long-term value realisation from the S/4HANA platform.
* Identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs at a global level.
* Strong background in ERP strategy, programme delivery, and executive stakeholder management.
* Deep expertise across SAP core modules (SCM, Manufacturing, Finance Integration etc.)
* Experience managing multi-regional rollouts and complex organisational change initiatives.
* Knowledge of cloud-based ERP architectures; exposure to other ERP systems in addition to SAP is advantageous.
* Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology functions.
* Degree-level qualification and/or relevant SAP certifications preferred.
* Fluent English & German (B2/C1+)
Contract Details:
* Freelance / Interim Assignment
* Remote-based role
* International travel required on an ad hoc basis, particularly during key programme phases, governance milestones, workshops, testing cycles, and major deployment activities
* Global programme with executive-level visibility
