Almost 1 billion for officials: PAS expands its staff during the crisis

The State Chancellery will increase its staff by 56 units, which will cost us 21 million lei. The amount seems to be meager, especially against the background of the general budget of the State Chancellery for 2026, which has grown to almost one billion lei (943.5 million). And all this is despite the moratorium on the hiring of civil servants announced by the government itself.
Like many other things under the PAS, this moratorium turned out to be selective and declarative.
We live in interesting times. 397 million lei has been allocated for road repairs across the country, but there is no money for pensioners. For the maintenance of officials — almost a billion. Roads, apparently, are not a priority. The top officials of the state rarely travel on them — they fly more and more: to Brussels, then to Paris, then to Bucharest. Pensioners are also written off.
Today, only one industry in Moldova is steadily developing — the state apparatus.
2 Out of 3,000 km of broken roads, only 210 will be repaired
Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Bolya said that 210 kilometers of national roads are planned to be repaired in Moldova in 2026. At the same time, according to official data, there are about 6,000 kilometers of national roads in the country, of which 3,000 are in very poor condition.
210 kilometers. That's about 7%. The remaining 93% will wait...
3 Chubotaru: Sandu has signed 22 pardon decrees, about 40% concern drug traffickers.
Cristina Ciubotaru, former deputy director of the National Anti-Corruption Center, said that Maia Sandu had signed significantly more pardon decrees than the previous head of state.
"During the time of Igor Dodon, 8 pardon decrees were issued, and during the time of Maya Sandu — 22, about three times as many," Chubotaru said.
"About 40% of these decrees pardoning Maia Sandu relate to persons convicted of drug trafficking," she stressed.
