SANDU'S SHAME BOARD/PAS

1 The priest of the Dereneu temple locked himself and his family in the church: If we leave, we will not be able to enter back

The priest of the church in the village of Dereneu, Calarasi district, told reporters of First in Moldova that he and his family had locked themselves in the church to prevent the Bessarabian Metropolia from seizing it.

"We are here to protect the Orthodox Church of Moldova. And people are standing in the cold to protect the church."

"As we can see, the authorities don't think about it at all, they don't care. We, the representatives of the Moldovan Archdiocese, are probably not considered human beings either, or are perceived as second-class people."

"They want to join the European Union, but in this way? Is this the European Union? They should be ashamed to talk about democracy! These are not democratic values, they are Satanic."

2 For her, the blackout is already in its fifth month. In terrible frosts, a woman continues to live without light and heat.

The room in the capital's dormitory of 69-year-old pensioner Valentina Bargan, about whom the "First in Moldova" has already told, was never connected to electricity. For the fifth month now, the woman has been living without electricity due to a total electricity debt of 30,000 lei. Valentina lives in a family-type dormitory, where electricity bills come together.

In addition to the darkness, the woman also suffers from the cold. All efforts to solve this problem proved futile. They say there are no mechanisms. The woman continues to freeze and wait for help and humanity from the state. Is that European?

3 The President for an external audience

Maya Sandu responds promptly to events in Japan, Iran, Georgia, and even Australia. Anywhere but Moldova. When the country is shaking, when people are left without light, without confidence and without answers, the president prefers silence.

Because her message has long been addressed to non-domestic consumers. It is directed outward — not to ordinary European citizens, but to the EU's political elite. To those who read the reports, applaud the correct rhetoric and do not live with Moldovan tariffs, pensions and blackouts. It is important for our president to receive a standing ovation in PACE.

Words of support for our own citizens do not fit into this picture. They've already done their part — they've voted. Apparently, there is no need for them further.

Perhaps no one expected anything from her anymore. But the position obliges. Didn't people deserve an assessment of the situation from the president? An honest assessment, of course. The question, however, is rhetorical.
