Kill La Kill fans will be surprised at awesome these cosplays of Ryuko are; these 10 cosplayers convincingly portray Ryuko Matoi's unique appearance.
One of the main protagonists in Kill la Kill is Ryuko Matoi and her goal is to find the person who killed her father. She carries the other half of the red scissor blade that was used for the task and she is often seen wearing Senketsu. Fans have adored her from the start as she has a darker aesthetic that plays off the bubbly personality of her best friend Mako.
Some have even gone on to create cosplays of Ryuko that look just like the anime , and fans are in awe of their creativity. Even her stubborn attitude is put on full display in these amazing cosplays that grow fans' love for Kill la Kill .
Ryuko was in a lot of fights throughout Kill La Kill and Fariko Cosplay decided to look like she was gearing up for one. The expression on her face speaks to her lack of fear, while the wig is styled just like that of Ryuko's in the anime. Her outfit is pretty on point as well, especially with the glove that looks like it is made of synthetic material to protect her fist.
The special effects added to this cosplayer's picture are what make it stand out as it highlights the red of her suit. Ryuko looks powerful and her hair wig is amazing the way the strands go in different directions across her face. Her scissor blade even looks like it could cut someone in half with its flawless design and the cosplayer, Tajfu , should be very proud of their work.
Ryuko rides a red motorcycle in Kill la Kill and Mariia Karpenko decided to include it in her cosplay. Her choice of footwear was a nice call as it adds a bit of modern flair to the original shoe design with its addition of a small heel. Her facial expression even gives off Ryuko vibes as she looks determined to find those who committed the crime and bring them to justice.
Fear was not a part of Ryuko's personality, and this cosplay focused on this personality trait of hers and fans think because of this she could rival Goku . The blue eyes match those of Ryuko's in the anime and the structure of her face is even the same as this character's which makes it all the more believable.
Her outfit is incredible as she decided to wear her Senketsu, but fans love the angle of the picture as it doesn't reveal too much which is how Ryuko would have wanted it. She looks ready for anything and Paulina Guccione is the cosplayer who made this possible.
Determination and love for her father are what drove Ryuko to hunt down his killer and this cosplayer was able to capture this message in her face. The perfection of her wig with the piece of red flowing off to the side highlights her blue eyes and the doll-like features of her face. Disharmonica is the cosplayer in this piece with a true love for this series that comes out in this cosplay, even if it's not one of the top anime on Netflix .
Ryuko spent her younger years as a juvenile delinquent, but she had a warm side that understood when it was necessary to use her manners which is why it is a great beginner anime . This cosplay by Peppered.up.cosplays speaks to that truth with the small smile and lack of ferocity in her stance The light makeup she used highlights these features as she strays from the brutal fighter and troublemaker she is known to be.
Sakushi is this cosplayer and her wig takes it to the next level based on how she styled it. Her outfit is also amazing as it looks like it was plucked straight from the anime and placed on her body in the real world.
Some even argue that the structure of her face is a match to that of Ryuko in the anime and she would be a great choice for a role if a movie was ever made. Other cosplayers wish they had the ability to pleat their skirts as well as she does and her choice of background reminds fans of the Honnōji Academy in the series.
Ryuko was pretty self-conscious about her body the first time that the active form of her Senketsu came to life, and this cosplayer named Jazzy_cos honored that feeling. She made the outfit a bit more conservative than that in the series, but still added key elements like the thigh-high boots and spikes on the edge of her skirt. The split of her hair in the middle of her face is something other Ryuko cosplayers dream of attaining as this degree of styling is something few can attain.
This cosplayer named Xenara looks like a natural-born anime character and her impression of Ryuko is made better because of it. The startlingly blue eyes bring in viewers, and although the outfit isn't a perfect match, it is close enough for fans to get the idea. The wig also adds to the aesthetic she is going for as the red streaks match those that are seen in the hair of this anime character .
Fierce is Ryuko's middle name and a cosplayer named Kawaiitsu nailed this with her facial expression. The creation of her outfit is phenomenal and the darker blue of her hair is a match to Ryuko's in the anime. It looks as if this character was brought to life and fans can believe she could beat Superman after seeing this look.

Size: Medium Color: Navy Verified Purchase
I ordered a Large, since that's what best fits my measurements (it's very close to them!) and the top is VERY tight. The material isn't stretchy either, so if you have breathing issues/dislike tight clothing, I'd definitely get a size or two up. The actual "eyepatch" for Senketsu was also too small and I'm working on figuring out a way to get it to fit me. Overall, a decent purchase for what I paid.

This was a fun purchase! The skirt and top fit the way I expected after doing all the suggested measurements. The outfit came with two red gloves, even though Ryuko only wears one, I appreciated the back-up glove! Of course the gloves don't have the full, donut-y shaped band with the syringe, and they interestingly had a different design on them (see picture), so if you want to be more accurate you'll have to make that yourself or find it elsewhere. There's a zipper on the side of Senketsu under the arm, though I didn't use it. The little bags on the belt aren't real bags, too, and don't hold anything unless you modify them. The eyepatch bra came too big and I had to add more velcro to the band to be able to close it more tightly, and I had to sew in the loose material in the cup for a closer fit. The suspenders come folded, so if you want them to stay flat while you're wearing the outfit, make sure you put them under something flat and heavy to straighten them out. It's expected that these pre-made cosplays don't fit 100% perfectly though, so just make sure you order within enough time to make modifications for your con!

This costume is well made for the price, but there's a few things that didn't fit. I got the large and the bra part that came with it was way too small (i'm a C38) and the belt to hold up the skirt was so tight that the velcro wouldn't hold. If you have some sewing skills, it's really easy to fix, but for the normal consumer, you'd probably have to return it.
I had to make a few small alterations for everything to fit the way I wanted it to, but I was very impressed with the accuracy of the costume to both the anime and the display images! I would definitely recommend this!!

Awe! Okay, this cosplay is so extra cuuuute and I am in love with it :D Product came as pictured. Shipping was within the expected date of arrival. 4 stars, due to the thumb of the glove unraveling a bit, but it's an easy fix if you a sewing kit near! Other than that I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it. (I bought a size large, my normal size)
