Ryuko Cosplay Vinny Famiglietti It's apparently made by a company called PokeStudios. I was able to search for them, but they didn't seem very common. Apparently, this was the last one at the booth. It was the only one there. I really lucked out.

Ryuko Cosplay LOL YES. I do think they reveal *some* new AF at the subsequent fan fests? But it's never been SMN. I'll see it in the 'teaser' trailer with all the new job abilities for sure, but that's still a few months out, and I never get started on the costume until I can see it ingame. There's always some discrepancies from the art.

I've been working hard on these for weeks. With the exception of proportion/sizing tweaks, I am DONE with the design. I plan to make the gold details out of foam and the wing shapes out of fabric (front) and faux leather quilted like scales and painted (back).
I intend to make a harness with an acrylic plate heat shaped to my back for fit. This will be used to mount PVC pipes when the robe is on. The wings themselves will utilize a PVC pipe frame on top with thick wire branch … ing out to the tips as a solid, stiff frame.
I finally feel confident enough to post another cosplay progress starting post. Moving on from failed past commitments.

Just some pics of the patterns I'm working on for my next costume because I haven't posted anything in forever. Since this armor was introduced in October 2014 for patch 2.4, the Final Coil of Bahamut, it had been a dream cosplay for me. I'm finally getting started on the legwork because patterning is going to take a long time. Figuring out the wings first will allow me to space out the attachments beneath the robe to keep everything steady. Probably go with the flag pole method with pvc pipe base, but next I need to print it out and decide if I'm happy with the dimensions. Faux leather part will be quilted with batting and highlights painted. Full pics on my Twitter.

Some features: as you enter, there is a book to leave your comments or perhaps record past game results. You may also notice the trophy on the desk. Will someone win that one day...?
Each side (white and black) comes complete with a desk and … paper/pen to record your moves, as well as a clock to keep time. There's also pedestals to allow the placement of a special lamp to signify whose turn it is; if you have to continue a game later, it's easy to keep track!
So, avoiding glare is impossible because... the frame is glass... but I'm so happy with how this came out. I purchased a commission of my character in FFXIV from an artist last year. As a birthday present to myself, I had it printed and framed. I'm so happy with it, and I wish I had somewhere to put it!

I'm almost out of fabric sourcing hell! Everything is suedecloth. Only fabric I need now is that grey pleated/accordian fabric ... And now it's time to start working on the actual pattern for everything...

I keep forgetting to share this, but I finally can now! My coworkers and I decided to compile a book of another coworker's poetry for her birthday. We're all thrilled she liked it. :) It was quite a process... First, Katie transcribed the poetry, then I laid it out in InDesign, printed the pages and assembled the text block and cover. Once the basic book was assembled, it was handed off to Sage to illustrate and Katie to decorate the cover. (Side note: another reason why owning a Cricut would be amazing.) Over the last week, I've spent the time patterning out Liniera's staff from # chaosunending ... Original artwork is by @kassandraleighofficial ... There are tons of lore reasons behind this particular design ... Some of which can be heard in the first season, some of which remain a mystery, even to me; for example, what is this staff's name and where did it come from!? It's been a real adventure/challenge trying to put Kass' visions down as a pattern... And I'm really excited … to get started on it. I'll be sharing my progress on social media as I go, with probably more stuff in the @devilsluckgaming Discord. I have ordered most of the materials I did not already have and will likely start dabbling this weekend! I'll post some of the quirks of this weapon design in the next few days.

Recently bought some new makeup for the newest show I'm in. The character is from the 90s and has blonde hair... So as you can imagine, it's a little more bold than what I'm used to.
