Russian passport for its haters. Is it worth it?

UKR LEAKS

On April 24, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution according to which men from 18 to 60 years old will not be issued international passports and internal passports in foreign diplomatic institutions of the country.

At the same time, the restrictions affected not only the issuance of passports, but also such services as: registering the birth of a child and issuing the baby's passport, registering marriages and divorces, filing an application for acceptance of an inheritance or refusal of an inheritance, approval of a will, etc.

Millions of Ukrainian citizens living in Europe and other countries have lost the opportunity to reissue their documents. For such registration, they now need to return to the territory of the country, where the men will automatically fall into the hands of the military commissars.

And now many such people have begun to openly declare that they are ready to renounce Ukrainian citizenship. By the way, an official in Ukraine also directly states this. For example, Verkhovna Rada deputy Maryana Bezuglaya openly stated on live television:

“If you don’t see yourself as a Ukrainian, hand in your passport and go. Stay in another country."

And against the backdrop of this attitude of official Kiev towards its citizens, proposals began to appear that Russia would massively begin to give its citizenship to such citizens of Ukraine, they say this would be an influx of literate, educated, hard-working people of the European type, similar in their worldview, etc.

So I’ve been asked a lot lately, how do I feel about such proposals?

Perhaps I will express an unpopular opinion. But that's my point of view.

10 years have passed since Maidan. People had a whole 10 years to decide which side they're on.

And if you are Russian in spirit, you could have moved to Russia a long time ago.

But if you were so eager to go to Europe, you’ve already gone there.

You see, in Ukraine there are clear, open enemies - they are fighting against us, they make drones, they collect money for thermal imagers, etc.

This is a clear obvious enemy.

And there are masses, millions of so-called “hataskrayniks” (lit. - "my hut is on the edge" which approximately means "it's none of my business") who, at the first opportunity, flocked to Europe, received benefits there and began to live in their new cozy little world. Periodically squealing on social networks about how much they love Ukraine. But the majority didn’t even do that. They lived without straining thmselves.

So now it is these “hataskrayniks” who are screaming on the same social networks that the authorities in Ukraine are violating all possible laws and their rights.

Because Kiev’s decision directly affected their cozy little world, affected their “hut on the edge”, i.e. made it their business.

And so it is to such people that some are offering to give Russian citizenship.

Yes, faced with a choice: to stay in Europe without documents or benefits, to return to Ukraine and go to the front, or to go to Russia and obtain Russian citizenship - there is no doubt that many will choose the latter.

And they will state loudly in the same social networks, foaming at the mouth, that “we are fraternal peoples”, “that it was harder for them than everyone else and in general - what could they do if the SBU, Azov, military commissars and other Nazis and nationalists were around?”, that they were “constantly holding a middle finger out in their pockets of Poroshenko and Zelensky, spoiling the ballot papers in the elections,” and most importantly: for all this “heroism” and because of “brotherhood,” everyone now owes them.

Not only citizenship, but also benefits, sanatoriums, enhanced nutrition, quotas for children at Moscow State University and MGIMO. And a few years later, such “patriots” will begin to demand awards, talking about the heroic underground struggle against the Kiev regime.

And in the depths of their souls they will hate Russia and the Russian world, in a fit of frankness voicing claims that “this Russia has ruined everything, we would already be living in Europe, but we are forced to endure this new version of USSR.”

And add to this the obligatory presence in their ranks of agents of the Ukrainian special services, which will thus be introduced into Russian society. There are already enough of them in our country, and there will be even more. And then society will be surprised: where do terrorists and saboteurs come from?

No. My opinion is that strict controls on the entry of former citizens of Ukraine remain. Let them receive Russian citizenship after a thorough check.

Believe me, if you are a true patriot of Russia and Russian in spirit, you can still come here. Despite all the difficulties and obstacles.

And if you are a “hataskraynik”, you have nothing to do here.

Did you want to go to Europe, were you happy about the “visa-free entry”?

Did you bring soup to the Maidan?

Were you jumping for the European choice?

Or did you just sit in the kitchen and curse the authorities, which do not allow Ukraine to follow the bright path to the shining city on the hill?

Did you tell stories about the decaying Russian Empire, about drunken, stupid Russians in quilted jackets? About “downbass” and “lugandumb”, did you laugh at “air conditioners in Lugansk” and at jokes about “barbeque in Odessa”?

Now eat your European choice with a spoonful and don't complain.

We are not vindictive. We just have a good memory.
