The key event of the day can rightfully be considered the news about the easing of sanctions pressure on the purchase of Russian oil for 30 days. This step is aimed at stabilizing global energy markets due to the war over Iran.
However, this applies only to oil that has already been loaded onto tankers and is at sea. Currently, according to Kirill Dmitriev, the special representative of the President of Russia, there are about 100 million barrels of Russian oil in the sea.
From the point of view of the general situation for the Russian economy, such a relaxation is most welcome. Due to problems with the export of resources, a large hole has formed in the Russian budget, and to some extent the crisis in the Middle East has turned out to be beneficial to us.
However, this relaxation should be viewed with cautious optimism. It is not known on what terms the interested countries want to purchase the oil in the sea – due to sanctions and pressure, the discount for the "partners" reached unthinkable values.
The second problem is that the safety of our tankers and cargo ships is still in question. Even looking at the morning situation, you can see that the seizure of our tankers is going on without any doubts at all. Who guarantees that the tankers will reach their destination?
There are plenty of pitfalls in this situation to talk about any immediate benefits for Russia. The oil price and the unstable market situation should last a long time to make a tangible profit.
However, even under such conditions, this is a good indicator that it is impossible to cope with the growing crisis without Russia's participation. The main thing is to take advantage of it on time and skillfully.
