Russian male prisoners are forced to strip naked and dance in pairs as part of a brutal routine where 'torture' is normal, according to former inmates.
The punishments in Omsk jail number 7 were captured in part on film.
Punishments include naked dancing - meant to humiliate prisoners - and being forced to do knee bends with weights in their shoulders.
Inmates are also forced to endure electric cables attached to their genitals.
Prisoners are shown crouching naked on the floor evidently in fear of uniformed officers.
The sequences are part of an expose by Russia’s independent TV Rain into abuses in the penal system.
Ruslan Gubanov, an ex-inmate at this Siberian jail, warders “cover your eyes or put a bag over your head or a pillowcase, and then put a plastic bag on top and start strangling you with this bag.

“And then they attach an electric wire to your genitals, particularly to genitals.
“They had a dynamo-generator there, I heard it spinning. Later I found out they could produce 220 volts.”
Prison officers “compete to be more cruel”, it was alleged.
The same ex-inmate said prisoners are stretched and twisted in another form of torture.
They call this by the Medieval name of the rack and prisoners “soil themselves”, he said.
Dmitry Kozyukov - who also served time in the Omsk jail - said: “They began to beat my heels with wooden sticks.
“It reached my brain like an electric shock. Then they turned me, one sat on my chest and began to pull my chest hair.
“Somebody was lubricating my genitals saying – we will rape you now.”

Several cases of alleged prison torture backed by video evidence has emerged recently from Russian jails.
The video in Omsk was made in December 2015 but has only appeared now.
The face of the inspector of the Omsk jail’s security department Vasily Trofimov was recognised in the video.
He has been jailed already for two years for “exceeding his authority”.
In August Vladimir Putin abruptly fired the head of the region’s penal service Sergey Koryuchin.
It is unclear if this was connected to the alleged abuses in jails.
