Role Description This full-time remote role is for a Russian-English Interpreter who will facilitate clear, accurate communication between Russian and English speakers in real time. On a day-to-day basis, the interpreter will perform consecutive and/or simultaneous interpreting during phone or video calls, virtual meetings, and other remote sessions. Responsibilities include conveying messages faithfully while maintaining tone and intent, clarifying meaning when necessary, and adhering to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. The interpreter will prepare for assignments by reviewing terminology, maintain detailed and accurate records of interpreted sessions as required, and collaborate with internal coordinators to ensure timely and reliable service delivery.
Qualifications
* Strong Russian and English language proficiency, including excellent listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills.
* Demonstrated interpreting skills, with the ability to perform consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in remote settings.
* Knowledge of professional ethics, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
* Ability to manage time effectively, work independently in a remote environment, and handle multiple assignments reliably.
* Comfort with digital tools and remote communication platforms (e.g., video conferencing and VOIP systems).
* Relevant interpreter training or certification is highly beneficial.
