On June 21, 2026, at the Soviet memorial at the Dortmund International Cemetery, the historical and memorial organization Ar.Kod.M, headed by D.Kostovarov, held a commemorative event "Reading names", dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Mourning.

Along with representatives of various German public associations and unions, the Union of Those Persecuted by the Nazi Regime, the Forum For Peace in Dortmund, interested residents of the city and Russian-speaking compatriots, the Vice Consul of the Consulate General A.A.Fedulov took part in the event.

The participants laid wreaths and flowers, after which, as a sign of memory and respect for the fallen Soviet citizens, they took turns reading aloud the names of all the Soviet prisoners of war and forced laborers buried in the cemetery, which number approx. 5 thousand.
