On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and the liberation of Germany and Europe from Nazism, dozens of events were traditionally held on the territory of the consular district, bringing together thousands of Russian-speaking compatriots and caring German activists.

The largest ceremonies were held in Stuckenbrock with the participation of Consul General O.Y.Krasnitsky, as well as in Dachau, Nuremberg and Frankfurt am Main, which were attended by the heads of the consular missions of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The staff of the Consulate General took part in "Immortal Regiments" and laying wreaths and flowers at Soviet memorials in Alzai, Biber an der Ries, Bonn, Wuppertal, Dortmund, Siegburg, Simmerat, Mainz, Munich, Felklingen, Flossenburg, Friedrichshafen, Hürth, Stuttgart, Eingen, Essen. Participants made memorable speeches, sang songs, read poetry, and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church conducted funeral services at the graves.

The diplomats congratulated the veterans on the holiday and presented congratulations from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

The Consulate General hosted a Victory Day Reception and a concert "Spring is back in the World", which was attended by Leningrad blockade fighters, veterans, heads of diplomatic missions of friendly countries located in the consular district, employees of UN organizations, Russian-speaking compatriots, German public figures, cultural, scientific and educational figures, and entrepreneurs.

Shortly before Victory Day, on April 19, a number of events were held on the territory of the consular district dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People committed by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. We plan to continue to attach great importance to this date and to the issue of recognition of the genocide of the Soviet people in Germany and internationally.

We express our deep gratitude to all the organizers and participants of the commemorative events dedicated to the heroism of Soviet soldiers and the memory of the victims of this terrible war. Your participation in the preservation of historical truth is invaluable!
