Russia and Namibia discuss implementation of a uranium mining project
Russia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Namibia Dmitry Lobach and Namibia’s Minister of Environment and Tourism Indileni Daniel discussed the implementation of a uranium mining project carried out by subsidiaries of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. The Russian embassy reported this on 31 January.
“On 29 January, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Namibia, Dmitry Lobach, and the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Indileni Daniel. Particular attention was paid to the ‘Krylya’ uranium project being implemented in Namibia by subsidiaries of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom,” the statement said.
In addition, the parties discussed bilateral co-operation in other areas, including the intensification of partnership in the field of tourism.
