Position
- Building Ruby on Rails API with single-page-app Javascript frontend
- Scoping new features for the platform with the Product and UX teams
- Contributing to the engineering roadmap
- Managing multiple projects across the business simultaneously
Your qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years commercial Ruby/Rails experience
- Full stack experience preferred
- Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related IT discipline
- Experience working with and building APIs to achieve scale
- Practical PostgreSQL experience
- Experience with Git Experience in performing optimisations such asvcaching/asset CDNs
- Work in an Agile manner, iterating through user stories and applying Test Driven Development techniques
- Solid monitoring focus with tools such as NewRelic
- Merchant gateway knowledge
- Experience in using various testing frameworks for automated testing
- Excellent English communication skills
Will be a plus
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks including ReactJS, BackboneJS and NodeJS
- Worked with Elasticsearch
- Working knowledge of software testing methods and quality assurance
- Contributed to the open source community
- Interest in a startup and technology community
