I was asked to act when I couldn't act. I was asked to sing "Funny Face" when I couldn't sing and dance with Fred Astaire when I couldn't dance and do all kinds of things I wasn't prepared for. Then I tried like mad to cope with it. ~ Audrey Hepburn
Had to add the ponytail... a little snip of a leftover Barbie head, a rubber band, a pin and there you go! The Iconic tail!

I have been wanting to do a shoot with Mona for a while, my Latex Bunneh Doll look was heavily inspired by hers so finally we have a piccy together!

Coraline is in a limbo stance. She is bent over backwards, resting on just her head and her feet, with her hands up in the air. She needs no further support in this pose.
In the following series of photos, Coraline's body and limbs are bent in various non-standing poses to show her posability.
Photos of my Coraline Bendy Doll, fully deboxed. I put her poseability to the test, both in static and action poses. Also, we take a look under the hood to see how she is constructed.
I just got a new in box Coraline Bendy Doll, raincoat model. She was released by NECA in 2008, for the Coraline stop action animated movie by Henry Selick.
She is a 7'' tall poseable doll. She has bendable limbs and torso, poseable hands and head, and a removable face. Her outfit consists of a yellow hooded raincoat, blue jeans and yellow rain boots. All these are easily removable and well made. Her arms, legs and torso are made of a rubbery very flexible and tough material, with wire inside, so she bends and holds poses very well. She does have a ball joint on her neck, which combined with her flexible neck makes her head amazingly poseable. She can spin her her head around 360 degrees, and tilt it up or down at least 45 degrees. She also has wrist joints, which enable her wrists to turn 360 degrees. She can bend at the elbows and knees about 90 degrees before the rubber resists any further bending.
She has a mischievious look on her face, with a smirk on her thin lips and knitted eyebrows. She has molded blue hair, blue freckles on her cheeks, a small pointy nose, and eyes with rather small brown irises.
My doll was made in 2011, and does not have the doll stand that was included in the original version. The doll is no longer in production. It has a common defect of these dolls - the tip of her nose has the paint rubbed off. Her nose it very pointy, so it is prone to this problem. Because of this, I got her for a very good price from eBay. You can see some of the paint from the nose streaked on the inside of the plastic front window.
There are also two other Coraline bendy dolls in the same series, Casual or Sweater Coraline (in sweater and jeans) and PJ Coraline (in pajamas).
She is a bendy doll, and she has a round face, freckles and a smirk, so is a good match for my newly acquired fully articulated 11'' Merida doll.
The wires have been removed, with the dress open in the back to allow for easier removal of the waist wire. Her black cape and hair are off to the doll's left side, to be out of the way for the removal of the waist wire.
The doll has now been removed from the cardboard backing, but there are still various packaging restraints remaining. The bow, arrow and quiver are attached to Merida's hands by rubber bands, and also attached to a flat plastic spacer. There is tissue paper around her legs, and rubber bands attaching her shoes to her feet.
The plastic front of the box has been removed, to leave the doll still attached to the cardboard backing, which can stand by itself.
The Disney Store's just released Classic Brave Merida 11'' Doll is photographed while being completely deboxed.
The Classic Merida doll comes with several accessories, including bow and arrow and quiver. Her outfit consists of a full length teal satin dress with gold trim, a full length black cloak made of a very elastic material with a large silver decorative button next to the velco closure at the neck. She is wearing brown shoes. All these accessories are removable.
She is fully articulated, including joints at her neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. She is unique among Classic Disney 11-12'' dolls in having fully poseable feet. Her shoes are flat, but she cannot stand on her own because her shoes aren't big enough, her joints are not stiff enough, and she is top heavy and unbalanced towards the back.
She has a beautiful round face, a cute little nose and her pink lips forming sassy smirk. Her hazel eyes has a yellow sunburst center, that in conjunction with the large pupils look like the sun in mid annular eclipse. She has freckles across her cheeks and forehead. Finally she has a large mass of medium length curly orange-red hair.
I just bought all three different Merida dolls from my local Disney Store, on release day. They are the 16'' toddler ($24.50), 20'' plush ($19.50) and 11'' classic ($16.50).
The US Disney Store has just released (on Monday April 23, 2012) various merchandise, including poseable dolls, for Merida, the Scottish heroine of the upcoming animated feature Brave. They are available both online and in stores. The movie's premiere is on June 22 in the US.
The manufacturer's part number, (c) Disney and China are visible on her back.

From behind the doll, two wires can be seen. One is around her waist, sticking out the back of her dress and through her hair. Another wire is around her arm. Her black cape is off to the doll's left side, to allow for the two sets of wires to be attached to the backing. Her shoes (or ankle high boots) can be seen to be open in the back, to allow for free movement of the poseable feet.

when i was in college, i did a technical study entitled "Condom Production from the Latex of Jackfruit". Of course, one of my basis is how latex is collected from rubber tree (the most common source of rubber) and i made a poem out of it. I posted this poem late last year but I promised to post it again once i saw a rubber tree. My friend and i stumbled with them last weekend
The glint of your bolo was an omen;
as its blade scored my skin, you funneled
in exchange for rupees and ringgits.
