Rowtrove Privacy Policy

Rowtrove ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that exports tables from the web page you are viewing to your clipboard or to a file. It is developed by Brian Shih.
Summary
Rowtrove does not collect, store on any server, sell or share your personal data or browsing data. It has no analytics and no advertising.
What the extension accesses
- The page you choose, when you click the Rowtrove icon. Chrome's
activeTabpermission lets Rowtrove read the current tab only after you click the toolbar icon. Rowtrove reads the tables on that page so it can show them to you. It cannot see your other tabs or your browsing history. - Temporary scan results. The tables found are kept in Chrome's session storage (memory only) so the export tab can display them. Chrome clears this storage when you close the browser. Rowtrove keeps at most the five most recent scans.
- Your exports. When you click "Copy to clipboard" or "Download CSV", the data goes to your clipboard or to a file in your Downloads folder. Rowtrove does not keep a copy.
Network requests
The free version of Rowtrove makes no network requests. Nothing you view or export leaves your computer through the extension.
If a paid "Pro" upgrade is offered in a future version, and only if you choose to activate a license key, Rowtrove will send that license key and a device label to the license provider (Lemon Squeezy) to verify it, and will re-check it from time to time. Chrome will ask your permission before this happens. No page content or exported data is ever sent. The optional multi-page merge feature in that version loads pages in your own tab after you allow access to that one site; Rowtrove does not send that data anywhere.
Data sharing
Rowtrove does not share data with anyone. It does not use or transfer data for purposes unrelated to its single purpose, and it does not use data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Children
Rowtrove is a general productivity tool and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
