Sports romance with a little comedy
A lightweight romance with some funny moments, centred around three years of a university swim team. Ami is training to be a diver. She loves Hiroki who was her family's benefactor. He's young, rich and a champion swimmer. She hates Keisuke who is descended from a rival family (of bakers!!!). Keisuike resents Ami being standoffish, and he's not sure if he can overtake Hiroki on the podium. "Rough" refers to a rough sketch, which shows the original intention but is filled in with more detail after time. After some major upheavals, Ami decides who she loves, Hiroki regains champion status and Keisuke makes some commitments. All before the final race.... The movie is well done, altho the goal wasn't very ambitious. For all the young bodies in swimsuits, it wasn't trying to be sexy. The focus was on growing up and opening up and (the big sports theme) TRYING. Some comic potential is ignored so as not to overshadow the romance. At the time of writing this, the IMDb plot says this is a movie about a teenager's descent into a drug-fuelled hell. That's the wrong movie.

Actress Regan Starr , who appeared in this film, gave an interview in which she stated that she was physically assaulted during its production. She stated that she had been told the filming would involve "rough sex", but when she began to be slapped, punched and choked, she told director Khan Tusion to stop the shoot but he ignored her and kept filming, resulting in her receiving injuries.
Unlike MASON'S DIRTY TRIXXX 2, which wallows in abuse but still retains a sense of "fun" (yes, I know that's relative), Khan Tusion's ROUGH SEX 2 is a downbeat collection of women being abused and choked and brutally sodomized for very petty crimes. Being one of the first hardcore video flicks to exist solely as a masturbation tool for those who get off on women being treated like crap, it is reasonably well shot and directed and boasts realistic signs of real abuse such as welting on pretty bottoms. One naively assumes that the women must be getting big bucks to suffer such treatment. Looking at the production values of most of these vids, I'd say the big bucks are not going to the actors. Clearly, some of these women enjoy the controlled violence visited upon their lithe bodies and the rest are doing it for the paycheck. It is erotic at times and it's ugly at times. Personally, I can do without the scenes where the women are forced to lick the rear ends of the male actors. As a card-carrying hetero male, I find such scenes terribly gay (my prejudice, I guess). An erotic curio for car wreck fans.
