Robots That Vacuum And Mop: What's New? No One Is Discussing
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one go and without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It is able to change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control on this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the top options available. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. her latest blog can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have several characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a good method to keep your home hygienic for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has many features that aren't available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
