Robots That Vacuum And Mop: What Nobody Has Discussed
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one go and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that it tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that are required like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. cheap robot vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for pads. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional squeaks of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with many extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers several functions that are not available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing, but it's still not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can even extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
